New members of Black Bulls

It was evening when Julian returned to the base so everyone was back on the base.

As always, the main hall was in chaos.

Asta, Luck, and Magna running all over the place destroying things.

Noelle somehow joined the mayhem screaming and shooting water balls at them to calm down.

Yami was sitting in the middle reading his newspaper without a care in the world. Julian was pretty sure that as soon as his cigarette reaches its end, his patience will run out too.

Charmy is at one corner eating sweets.

Vanessa is drinking on the Sofa.

Gauche looking at the picture of his sister with a wide smile. Certainly, an effective method to keep him sane in the chaotic environment.

Grey at one corner in his big form.

Finral beside him sitting down holding his head wishing for the chaos to calm down.

The only one who noticed Julian's presence was Gordon who gave him a creepy smile.

Julian's patience ran out as he released a wave of mana pressure stopping everyone from what they were doing.

All of them now noticed Julian who was missing for the last five days without any notice.

"Ara~Julian you are back~. Wouldn't you introduce the handsome man and the cute girl behind you~" Vanessa asked still under the influence of alcohol.

"Well meet Kirin, he is a lightning spirit that I made a contract with," Julian said pointing towards Kirin who transformed to his original form and back to the human form.

"Whaooo ! a lightning spirit!

Ne ~ Are you strong? Let's fight each other to death!!" Luck exclaimed with excitement.

"A kiddo with lightning magic huh! Can't ask for anything more. Bring it on Blondie!! Don't come crying when you get your ass handed to you" Kirin exclaimed as lightning cracked around his arm.

Seeing this Finral felt a mountain fall on his back as another crazy person had come.

Julian chucked seeing this as he did the same thing the first day he came to the base.

Although Julian appeared to be calm and composed from the outside, his hidden personality was always thirsty for battle and shouting the name of cool spells.

Kirin's new personality was reconstructed from his own personality so it didn't surprise that he was ready to fight Luck.

Julian asked Kirin to wait for some time before everything settled down.

"Remember that bird that always stayed with me? She was actually a human who had turned into a bird due to the effect of a spell.

Meet Secre, she is a Sealing Magic user and a dear friend of mine" Julian said pointing towards Secre and bowed and introducing herself. She too turned herself to her bird form and back to her human form.

Yami put down his newspaper and approached Julian and looked him dead in the eye.

"Well, brat! you disappear for five days without proper notice and come back with two weirdos,-" Yami released his mana pressure on Julian.

"-and expect me to accept them into the squad? "

"Yes," Julian replied shamelessly.

"Then you are Goddamn right!

Vanessa! Do your thing!" Yami ordered as he gave his Black Bulls cloak to Kirin.

Kirin had a huge grin after receiving the Black Bulls cloak.

"Hai~captain Yami! " Vanessa said as she created a new Black Bulls cloak around Secre.

"Welcome to the Black Bulls…a squad made of weirdos and outcasts.

I don't know and don't care about your pasts but you can create a family here and start a fresh life.

Do your job properly and if you mess up Julian will clean up after you since he brought you two here." Yami said lighting a new cigarette.

"I am Charmy la~You can find me if you need something to eat," Charmy said handing both of them a cupcake.

" I am Noelle Silva from the Silva Royal Family. You can find me if you need help with paperwork. It's not like I am doing this out of kindness or anything hmp!" Noelle said.

One by one everyone introduced themselves to the two new members of the squad.

Secre was overwhelmed by emotions and tears started dropping from her eyes. Staying around the base for quite some time, she had seen all the members having fun and wanted to join the fun too and now that she could finally do that, she could not control her emotions.

Kirin had seen the Black Bulls through Julian's eyes but seeing through his own eyes had a different feeling.

Secre was dragged inside by Vanessa and the other two girls for a talk while Kirin went outside for a showdown with Luck and the others, leaving Yami and Julian inside.

"Follow me to my office, " Yami said before walking away.

Yami knew about Kirin's story which was only known to the people associated with the mission, not even the Wizard King.

He could immediately sense Kirin's KI and tell that he was a spirit and a strong one at that.

It was his first time seeing that a spirit made a contract with someone with a different magic type which opened the possibility for Julian to use two different magic types.

Next was Secre.

He recognized her too as soon as she entered the base as her KI was the same as the strange antibird that was always with Julian.

Julian was smart, he would not bring any random bird because they can turn human.

Currently, the main concern was Julian's KI as it was completely different from anything he has sensed moreover he could sense something in him….a source of darkness.

"So tell me everything from the start…

From you disappearing to…..becoming something else other than human….to the lightning spirit regaining its body..to the bird becoming human..." Yami said to Julian.

Yami picked up a book from the pile of books Julian brought him but he didn't understand a thing as he was not so well-versed in other languages.

The books were just some stories about the history and races but nothing much significant as per Julian.

Julian slowly started to explain everything from the start.

His meeting with Secre and her story of being the First Wizard King's assistant excluding the facts about the Magic Stone and Devil.

'So her name is Secre Swallowtail…I had read a record of the First Wizard King lying around In Julius's office which described someone that matched her description of having sealing magic.' Yami thought.

Julian gave the reason that Secre followed Julian because she saw Julian's four-leaf Clover Grimoire.

Yami was a master of KI but Julian was not an amateur either, he had enough mastery over KI to hide his true intentions from Yami to a certain degree.

After this Julian started to explain his mission to retrieve the unique rocks and the Rift hound infestation which opened up to a dungeon.

Then he explained the Dungeon trial and his receiving the dragon Bloodline which he showed by summoning the hard black scales around his arms.

When he mentioned Natcht's arrival, Yami became serious since it was a matter of great importance now.

Nacht who apparently hated everyone related to Yami was helping someone was a new thing to him.

Julian then explained the events that took place after that like Alric's attempt to take over his body, Kirin regaining power, Secre breaking the seal, him getting over, etc.

But Julian could not explain how he killed Alric…to him, it appeared that his body moved on it's own and used the power that it will take him a long time to even unlock.

Yami was baffled to learn about the history of the world but didn't let it appear on his face.

In the current time, Light Magic, Dark Magic, and World Tree Magic existed simultaneously, but he was relieved to know that just combining them will not open the gates to heaven or hell.

Yami knew how big and important this information was so he was not going to tell it to anyone not even Julius as he didn't trust anyone completely except himself.

Julian didn't reveal to Yami his bloodline or him being the person Alric was searching for as the core.

Finally, it came down to the topic of Julian having a total of five magic types now. Julian acquiring Dark Magic was a matter of concern to Yami.

'Stay close Ichika '

'Yo-you! What are you doing Yami!!'

'Ahhhh! Don't do it Yami!!!'

'Devil!! He has become a heartless Devil!!'

'Are you okay with killing your own kin Yami ?!!' Some voices that Yami could never forget surfaced in his mind.

"Dark Magic is something that is the total opposite of other magic types. Unlike other magics that become strong with your dreams, determination, goodwill, and urgency, Dark Magic becomes stronger feeling on your negative emotions.

It is a corrosive magic that feeds on your emotions…. makes you forget yourself….. make you something that you might regret...

Forget about Dark Magic for now and focus on the other magic types….

When your mastery over magic reaches a level that I deem is enough, I will guide you in Dark Magic myself"
