71 Dark lord's Trauma

A few days passed by since the whole capital zombie attack occurred. And needless to say that because of his contribution to protecting the citizens of the capital the dark lord was promoted once again.....though every magic knight who participated in that event got a promotion too, that's not important. The main thing was that Sekke was now a 2nd class senior magic knight.

He also got quite popular amongst the people of the capital as being an odd black bull member who saved the citizens during the attack when most of the other magic knights were not even close by.

But despite all of these achievements the dark lord didn't get conceited and just led his daily life.

Currently in the black bulls' HQ, or more correctly inside Sekke's room, Sekke Vanessa and Secre we're pondering over a serious matter.

"So what do you think I should do Vanessa-san?" asked Sekke as he looked at the pink-haired woman.

Vanessa who was reading a letter without even looking up said, "No matter how you look at it, it's an invitation to a date."

Just as those words escaped Vanessa's mouth Secre who was sitting on Sekke's shoulder started pecking his head with all her strength.

'Reject it. Reject it. Reject it. What other answer could there possibly be.' were the thoughts that his familiar anti-bird had.

"Ow ow ow ow. Cut it out Secre Ow."

Sekke who defended his head from the barrage of beaks caught the bird in his hand and held her still.

Vanessa acted as if nothing happened and put the letter back in the bed and said, "Well this Anna person is just asking you out. I think that you should do what you want."

Sekke looked at the letter that was placed on his bed and started having many thoughts with a very, very serious look on his face.

Seeing him have such a serious look on his face Vanessa's eyes widened a bit as she thought, 'What the hell is so complicated about this that it is making him have such seriousness?'

"Hey Sekke, it's just a date you don't have to worry this mu-"

"THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID!!!"

Just as Vanessa was about to finish her sentence Sekke yelled out loudly as he immediately stood up.

Both Secre and Vanessa were shocked by his sudden outburst as they looked at the blonde boy with surprised looks on their faces.

'It's the same shit that bitch Stella told me and then shoved a gun down my throat when I tried to reject her.' thought Sekke as the memories of the bitch from his previous world resurfaced.

Sekke shook his head so as to clear his thoughts and said, "No, that's not the problem. Anna is nothing like her...but what if she's just trying to act like that in front of public just like that bitch."

"Calm down Sekke, calm down. And who the hell is this 'bitch' that you are mentioning." said Vanessa as she made Sekke sit back on his bed.

Secre seeing her partner like that got worried and hopped onto his shoulder and started patting his back.

Sekke took some deep breaths and soon calmed down and said, "No one, just a bad memory that is best kept buried. Anyways onto the current agenda."

Sekke held the letter in his hands as he ignored the pink-haired woman and the anti-bird and said, "I don't think it will be a problem....actually scratch that. I am going on this date. I need to face this someday anyway. After all the dark lord's charisma will invite such situations from time to time."

Sekke who had a resolute look on his face immediately got a wing slap from Secre who once again started pecking his head with all her might.

"Ow ow ow ow ow!!!" cried Sekke as he fell from the bed.

Vanessa who looked at the scene in front of her chuckled and said, "Fufu, well it's interesting to see that someone like Sekke-kun, the dark lord will have such trouble with going on a date with a girl."

That comment immediately reached Sekke's ears as he shot up from the floor and said, "Oh please it's just such a trivial matter that it never crossed the dark lord's great mind that's all."

Well, it was partially true since Sekke who since his childhood was so fascinated by magic which was not present in his previous life never had a single thought about dating someone. He just practiced his magic to get stronger to reach his goal of becoming the dark lord and just enjoyed his life without thinking much about it. Plus the shitty romantic life in his previous world left a slight trauma on him.

"Plus she protected me while I was unconscious so I want to repay her as well," said Sekke he decided to go on the date.

"Well then good for you then. By the way, why did you call me for such a matter?" asked Vanessa.

"Well, I just wanted to make sure that I was comprehending the letter correctly. So I sought after someone who had some experience with these types of things. And you seemed to be the best option in the squad." said Sekke.

"What about Finral? He should have been a better candidate for this."

"...Can you tell me the number of times he got himself to date a girl?" said Sekke as a look of realization flashed on Vanessa's face as the whole room turned silent.

Meanwhile at some other part of the black bulls' HQ Finral who was reading a 'not so children friendly magazine' felt as if an arrow pierced his heart.
