2 Chapter 2: Unlocking Magic
"HEYYYY! I'M HOMEEE!" Asta shouted loudly with a wave, causing a group of kids to come running at him.
"Asta! You're back!"
"Yuno showed us some really cool magic!"
"HUHH!? WELL I CAN DO SOMETHING MORE IMPRESSIVE, LOOK!" Asta got down in a situp position and began blitzing through tens and hundreds of situps "HAAAAAAAAHHHHH!"
"Excuse me... who are you...?" Suzaku felt something tug his joggers so he looked down to see a small child with blonde hair and blue eyes looking up at him innocently as he kept tugging on it.
Hollo, the blonde boy, got the attention of the other kids as they looked up at him.
"AHHH! A GIANT'S INVADED THE VILLAGE! EVERYBODY, RUN BACK INSIDE!" A small black-haired girl shouted playfully as she ran inside the church, followed by Hollo.
"Don't mind them, they're just kids" A brown haired boy with purple eyes stated whilst sighing as if fed up.
"You're a kid too, Nash" A red-haired girl said as she nudged Nash, earning a glare from him.
"Tch, shut up, Recca" Nash walked back inside the church to keep an eye on Hollo and Aruru (The black-haired girl).
"Teehee! See you later, mr. giant" Recce waved with a chuckle as she followed Nash inside.
"Hey... you can stop doing your situps now, they stopped watching ages ago" Suzaku said as he saw Asta still doing situps enthusiastically.
"Oh" He kicked himself up off the floor, "Let's go, I'll show you around, though there's not much to show hahaha!" Asta laughed.
"I HEARD YOU!" a grey-haired man came out the church with an angry look, followed by a girl in a nun outfit.
"Welcome back, Asta and... Oh, who are you?" The beautiful black-haired girl in nun clothing gasped as she looked at the unfamiliar new arrival.
With a respectful slight bow, Suzaku replied "Nice to meet you two, I'm Suzaku Kirin, I hope I'm not causing any problems"
"It's alright, no problems are being caused. I'm Sister Lily, the sister of this church" She replied with a charming smile, "And this is Father Orsi, the priest of this church" She said as he puffed his chest out proudly
"It appears you've made a new friend, Asta" Orsi said with an underlying tone of happiness.
"Yeah! We met a while ago while I was training, he's gonna come with us to get a grimoire tomorrow!" Asta said excitedly.
Sister Lily and Orsi looked at Asta with a smile, happy that Asta had finally made a friend his age - excluding Yuno as they were more like brothers, and rivals.
Speaking of Yuno, the black-haired boy appeared behind Lily and Orsi shortly after.
"Oi, Yuno! Meet my new friend, Suzaku!" Asta greeted on behalf of Suzaku.
"... Hello" Yuno greeted, unsure of what else to say making the atmosphere awkward for a few seconds. Fortunately, there was the incredibly social being known as Asta to save the day.
[You have successfully made contact with Yuno Grinberryall. It is detected that Yuno Grinberryall has Wind and Star Magic... Activate Talent? Y/N]
'Woah... "Star Magic"? I wonder what that is... I'm still unsure though, so' [N] was pressed.
"Why don't we all go inside and eat some tatoes!? I'm hungry!" He patted his belly, walking past everybody as he headed inside the church, "Come on guys!"

"Wow... This is actually quite nice! Would taste better with some salt though" Suzaku complimented as he took another bite of the tatoe.
"Fufufu~ Thank you" Sister Lily took the compliment well, "Unfortunately, salt is a luxury that only nobles and above have, so we can't do much there"
"Hey, Suzaku!" Asta shouted across the table as he messily ate his tatoes.
"Hm?" His mouth was full, so that was all he could muster, but Asta seemed to understand as he carried on speaking
"Do you need a place to stay? You said you were lost after all, so I don't think you'd have one" Asta's question had caught Suzaku and everyone else by surprise.
"Wow, I didn't think you were smart enough to gather that" Suzaku said aloud what everybody on the table was thinking, "But no, I don't have a place to stay... I'll probably just sleep under the skull" Suzaku shrugged, not noticing the looks of pity from Orsi, Lily, Asta, and even Yuno surprisingly enough.
"Hey, kids, you have enough space to fit one more, right?" Orsi asked, to which they all looked at each other for a few seconds.
"No-" Nash was about to bluntly answer, but was silenced by Asta covering his mouth
"We do! We definitely do!" Asta hurriedly answered, releasing Nash's mouth.
"It's alright! I don't need to sleep here, I'm sure there's little to no space in there already" Suzaku replied, feeling bad for feeling like he's taking advantage of the orphanage.
"You're righ-" Nash was about to say before being lightly punched in the back of the head, "OW!"
"Really, there's enough space for you to stay the night, if need be I'll sleep somewhere else in the church" Asta said, ignoring the annoyed Nash who started cursing at him.
"No reall-" Suzaku was about to refute until Asta turned serious as he stated
"I insist."
"Fine, fine... thanks for the food and bedding" Suzaku thanked everybody.

After the canon stuff took place, with Yuno showing off his wind magic and Asta running off and whatnot, it was finally time for the gang to head over to the grimoire tower.
"Woah..." The orphanage and Suzaku opened their mouths in awe as they looked at the vast space inside the tower that was full of books.
An old man with a long white beard appeared with a magic item similar to a microphone, which enhanced his voice for everybody to hear.
"Welcome, young men and women... You each will begin walking down a new path starting today. I wish you faith, hope and love.
I am the master of this grimoire tower. We've never had a wizard king from this area... nor have we had one achieve greatness by joining the magic knights. I sincerely wish that someone among you will become the wizard king...
I'M SERIOUS HERE" The master of the tower broke character as he sounded like he was going crazy, "Ehem..." He cleared his throat and went back to his previous mood
"Now, it is time for... the awarding...
of the grimoires!" When the master finished with his speech, a light filled the room for a second before disappearing, revealing a books being pulled out of the shelves by themselves as it flew to every person in the room.
A quick minute had passed, with everybody getting a grimoire... well, not everybody
"Um... My grimoire isn't coming..." Silence filled the room as they all looked at Asta dramatically being on his knee with his arms out, waiting for a grimoire to come.
"Uh..." The master, looking at this - something that had never happened before - could say nothing except for "Try again next year"
"*Snort*" A snort from a random person initiated everybody, except for the orphanage and Suzaku, to burst into laughter.
"HAHAHA! This is amazing!"
"THAT'S TOO FUNNY!"
"I guess that's what you'd expect from someone in the slums. I didn't think he'd be that pathetic" A prideful noble scoffed.
"Oh my god..."
"No way..."
"Not one... but two??"
The crowd's attention was drawn away from the despaired Asta as they turned to look at Yuno and Suzaku who stood proudly with their 4 leaf-clover grimoires.
'A 4 leaf? I thought I would've gotten a 3 leaf...' Suzaku thought, but didn't complain. A ding sound was heard, causing him to look at the system information in front of him.
[User has received 4-Leaf Grimoire, congratulations! Host has received this grimoire due to his potential and luck from gaining the system]
'That makes sense I guess'
[User has unlocked his own natural magic: Lightning Magic. With the power of the system, the user is not limited to spells made by the grimoire only, but is able to create his own spells based off his imagination with enough skill and mana. For example, with enough mana and control, user can create moves based off other fiction such as Enel from One piece or Killua from Hunter x Hunter. However, the user must keep his grimoire in his possession to do all this]
'Woah... that's so fucking COOLLLLL!! Magic for the win!!' Suzaku cheered internally. If he had to choose what element was his favourite, it had to be lightning with its versatility, speed and power.
[Congratulations user for unlocking his personal magic! 500 Points will be rewarded as a prize!]
'This day just keeps getting better and better!'
Meanwhile, while Suzaku was in his own thoughts, Yuno had already given his speech about becoming the Wizard King and walked past the distraught Asta.
'With these points, I'll put every stat to 100, and then put the rest in magic, that should be good for now'
