Life has a funny way of reminding you just how mortal you once were. The only difference between us was the duration of our lives and how much we could endure, but despite those things we weren't much different. They say the Moon Goddess made us in her likeness, given a life that she was not meant to have but did I truly appreciate the life that I was given?

The answer was simple.

Yes.

To feel heartbreak, to feel pain, to feel love and be loved.

That's what it meant to be alive in this world.

I was currently in the Blood Moon pack house in a bedroom that Derek brought me in. The moment he laid me down he immediately left to give me space to recollect all of my thoughts. After Derek whispered into my ear that he wasn't the one that killed Elizabeth for some reason I broke down, I sensed with true sincerity in his heart and mind, because I can read minds, that he honestly did not kill her.
