CHAPTER 00

The room was bleak, cold and completely dark. It was quiet and somber in there. After some time, the open window curtain began to move gently revealing a ray from the full moon that exactly pointed towards a crib made out of wood. Inside, two newborns were sleeping peacefully covered with a thin white blanket.

In one of the corners of the room, there was a woman dressed in a luxurious robe staring at the crib with a emotionless face. Suddenly, the door slowly opened revealing a servant.

"Did he came?" said the woman still staring at the crib.

"No my lady". said the servant bowing.

Hearing those words, the woman walked towards the door and without looking back said "waste of time; they are useless" and left.

As the servant got closer and closer to the crib, one of the newborns opened his eyes. "Go back to sleep. Life will decide if you two live or not".

7 YEARS LATER

"We have to leave this place brother. It's matter of time until this place falls apart." said Carlyx. Looking around, Kharyh stood up from the floor holding his teddy bear. As he lower his head, Carlyx grabbed his face with both hands raising his face gently, "don't worry brother, I am here with you. We can live in the forest" Gently, they hug each other for some time then they began to pack the only few things they had and could carried.

As they walk further into the green forest, branches snapped under their feet.

The trees were tall as skyscrapers. The sun was shining brightly. You could hear the different rivers flowing. The air blew delicately making the branches of the trees dance in harmony. The smell of the forest was fresh and organic.

They continued walking until they came across a fruit tree. "Look Carlyx! It's an apple tree! said Kharyh as he ran towards it. Happily, he began to carefully climb the tree. After some time, delicious apples dropped to the floor. "Food is served" said Carlyx before she begin to devour the apple. They ran closed by the tree playing around.

During the rest of the day in the forest, they collected branches, leaves, food and took it to a small cave that they found when they were smaller. "Do you think that someone will find us? That will come for us?" said Kharyh holding a stick moving the embers so that the fire doesn't go out. As Carlyx kept looking at the sky full starts shinning said, "They would of have come already but here we are fighting everyday". After that, Kharyh just looked down still moving the embers. They remained silence for a while when they eyes could not longer take it. They curled up on a bed made of branches and leaves with stones around it. They were in deep sleep when a blue light projected from their bodies illuminating the whole cave and what was closed by. The light persisted for a few second and then disappeared.

FAR FROM THE FOREST

"Young master, your meal has been served" said the butler after he enter the knight's training field. He continued thrusting his sword forward in quick movements as he danced around a wooden statue covered with a thick layer of straw. After some time, he turned around covered in sweat. " Didn't I told you not to come and interrupt me during my training?", slowly walking towards the butler. When he was face to face, the butler replied " careful young master, choose your next words carefully". The only thing that could be heard was the wind blowing. "Are you done picking up fight brother?" A young and tall man with a tone body came walking towards then. "This does not concern you big brother" he said it with a annoyed tone. "Lets go. Father is about to go to the dinning room and you know perfectly he doesn't like to wait".

"He is right young master. You should be wise about your decisions if it's related to your father" said the butler. "Whatever. Lets go". After he said that, both brothers walked away and the butler was behind them.

THE OFFICE

"And here are the documents for the spring dance your majesty. Everything is almost done" said Thomas, the right hand of the Emperor. " Do you have the progress of the drought on the farms?" said the Emperor. " Yes your majesty. He are the papers that we just received two days ago." As the Emperor was looking at them, there was a loud bang coming from the dinning room. "Go check it out and report it to me" said cold emperor still looking at the documents. Bowing, Thomas left the office.

THE DINNING ROOM

As Thomas opened the door to enter the dinning room, plates were flying over the room. The food was all over the carpet and on the walls. " Kids! What is going on?!" said Thomas but no one listened to him. "Caleb stay there! and Lucas don't moved an inch!" said Thomas as he walked towards them. "Why you always have to stick you nose in my business every single time?" said Caleb grabbing Lucas from the collar. " Because I know you will ruin everything" said Lucas. "You too, that's enough! Why you all have to fight!?" said Thomas trying to separate them. As he struggled to do so, Thomas looked at Blake, the third child of the emperor. "Don't you stand there! Help me out?" said Thomas with a desperate tone. Blake took a sip from his cup of tea and said "It's entertainment" and continued watching his brother fight. " If we don't stop them, they could really kill each other! Lucas may have a lot of patience but it's not going to stay like that forever!"

"That could be good of me. I would be first in line to the throne" said Blake still drinking his tea elegantly. As soon as he said that, the dinning room's opened aggressively. As soon as the Emperor entered, all of the maids left quickly scared except the royal head maid. Blake lower his tea cup and stood up from the chair and walked towards the Emperor and bowed, "your majesty, I apologize for this inconvenience". The Emperor just took a quick glance towards him then towards Caleb, Lucas and Thomas.

"Okay you two! I have enough of this!" as he was going to cast a ice enchantment, the Emperor raised one hand and a purple light came out of of his palm and hit them. All of them fell to the ground in a lot of pain. "Why is my dinning room looking like this? " said the Emperor with a cold purple eyes.
