Chapter 7

We enter the dining room for the west wing and there are two plates of bacon,egg,bread and sausage opposite each other with a cup filled with cream coloured contents and in the middle sat a medium sized bowl filled with fruits.

"Finally", Javier groaned and ran towards the long table. He pulled back a chair and struggled with climbing it to sit down. I just shook my head with a soft smile on my lips and helped him sit on the chair.

"Thank you", he muttered with a blush and picked up the fork and started eating. I walked around the table and sat down opposite him.

I looked at him to see him eating like he didn't just eat with me last night, "Javier", I said and he paused and looked at me, "eat slowly or you will choke", I continued. He looked at me with his mouth full which made him look like a chipmunk and chewed slowly before swallowing and nodding. He went back to eating his food but this time, slower. I nodded in approval before digging right back in.

I take a small sip of he creamy content in the cup and hum in delight. Banana and honey smoothie, my absolute favorite.

"I thought I wasn't going to spend the day with you", he says.

I look at him, "and what made you think that?"

"Well daddy said that you came earlier for me but I was still sleeping so you got mad and left"

"That son of a------" I start to say and remember that Javier is still in the room. I cough and continue my sentence in a kid friendly way "--biscuit"

I take a bite of my bacon when he giggles, "you don't need to hide it. Daddy cusses a lot so I know what you were going to say but don't tell him that I know"

I choke on my bacon and immediately down a glass of water, " that son of a —?", I exclaim and stop myself again. I look at him but he's eating his food looking so innocent. What kind of father just cusses in front of his child.

"what did I want to say?" I decide to test just in case he was kidding or bluffing but he shakes his head.

"It's a bad word and I don't think the moon goddess will be happy hearing those things from me. I'm still a pure boy"

"Good to know but your daddy's been bad", I mutter.

"Does he need to get punished?"

This time I choke on my saliva. I recover quickly and his innocent self is still waiting for an innocent answer from me. Seems like I'm as bad as alpha Casper, maybe I do need to be punished. Seven years without sex and this is what I've turned  into...a twenty four year old woman who misinterprets every single thing that is innocently said...well done mason,you've officially broken me.

"No he does not need to get punished"

"Who the fuck needs to get punished you naughty naughty girl?", Noel says as he enters the dining room.

He obviously can't see Javier because the chair is backrest of the chair is high and hides him.

"You should shut your mouth more", I say in attempt of shutting him up but he keeps on babbling.

"You don't want me to know who you're practicing your kinky side with?", he says and comes to my side and that's when he sees Javier.

"Holy shit" he exclaims then clears his throat "I mean----swash bucklers"

Javier gives him a toothy grin "I'm Javier and you cuss a lot too"

Noel picks an apple, "nice to meet you kiddo but you need to forget all you heard the last three minutes cause your dad will kill me"

"Oh don't worry daddy cusses too", Javier waves off Noel's comment and talks like this is a normal conversation for a five year old to be having.

"Javier this is noel, my twin brother"

Javier's eyes widen, "really?...that must be so cool" he gushes. "Can you two do that stuff where you two can read each others minds?"

"You mean telepathy"  Noel says like that's a word a five year old should have mastered.

"Noel he's five", I mutter, "and yes we can do that through mind link and I can do that with everyone in my family so it's nothing special"

"After nine months of pressing my butt against your face and being your womb mate, that is all you think of our connection"

"And your point is?"

"Let me explain how mind link works buddy", Noel says after scoffing at me but got caught off by Javier.

"I know what it means,daddy explained it to me"

I try to stifle my giggle at Noel's expression, "another reason why you are a better alpha and need to teach my brother alpha lessons"

"You've bullied me enough I'm leaving", he says and steals a sausage from my plate before leaving and slamming the door for extra effect.

"I like your brother", Javier says and finishes the last piece of bacon on his plate.

"I like him too, but don't tell him that. It'll get to his head", I say,  "so, what do you want to do now?"

His answer catches me off guard, "read for a long time"

I lean forward on my elbows and put my chin in my hands "you know...when I was five, I used to play and only play"

"I like to read", he says and after his many struggling attempts he looks at me shyly, "can you help me down?"

"Sure", I say and leave my chair. I lift him up from the chair and place him on my hips.

"I want to go to a library"

"We have a library but I don't know if I can find it", I reply as we leave the dining room.

I see the guards that protect the west wing, "Please could any of you show me to the library"

The one who led me to alpha Casper's room nods and start to walk.

"What's your name?", I ask.

He stays quiet for some seconds, "is the lady miss referring to me?" He asks.

"Yes I am"

He coughs "ummm...it's Sebastian miss"

"You have a handsome name", Javier says.

"I don't think names can be handsome Javier"

He nods frantically as Sebastian chuckles, "they can too"

"Daddy says my name is handsome", he says with a smug look on his face.

"Is that so?"

He nods, "yes, just like your name is pretty"

I smile at him, "thank you"

"This is it miss Odetta", he bows slightly.

I give him  one of my small smiles "thank you so much"

"Is there anything you want to be sent?"

"Nothing that i can remember now but thank you anyway", I say and enter the library.

Javier wiggles in my arms and I let him down "woah----your library is just like mine back home", he says.

He runs and I laugh at how short he is compared to the large library shelves. After ten minutes,Javier and I finally settle on books to read and he's sitting in between my legs on the floor while my back is resting on the arm of a sofa.

Someone knocks on the door after two hours of reading. Javier is now laying on the floor on his belly a few feet away with a new book while I'm on the sofa with the same book. I groan and stand up and answer the door.

"I really want to talk to you", he says.

I recover from my shock, "mason we can't talk. We have nothing to talk about. It ended seven years ago let's keep it buried"

"Don't give me that bullshit Odetta we both know that you have questions you want answered and I'll be more than happy to answer them"

"You have your alpha meeting to attend to, so bye", I say and close the door but he sticks his foot out before the door could close completely.

"It's time for lunch break please let's talk", he begs.

"Just leave mason", I whisper and look at the ground.

"Please look at me. Nothing has changed"

"Again I'm asking you to leave mason. You have a mate and two kids with one more kid on the way. It changes everything"

He sighs and pulls back his foot and I shut the door.
