'The calls'

Sound of the waves. Coldness of the breeze. Bright sun.

'Where am I?', Tristan thought as he roamed his eyes around his surroundings.

The place was unfamiliar, yet, felt like he'd been here for a long time.

It was so quiet.

Tristan started to walk and realized the soft white sand underneath. He buried his feet and played with the sand as his toes went deeper.

"Tristan!"

His eyes widened. That voice. He knew that voice.

Tristan swiftly turned his head to where the voice was coming from but, no one was there.

He turned 360 degrees, still, he didn't see anyone. "Who is it? Where are you?!"

Tristan felt a strange beating of his heart when he saw a silhouette from a distance, hiding behind the coconut tree.

He slowly walked towards it with a pounding chest.

"Who are you?"

As he came closer, the silhouette became clearer. Then, he heard a soft chuckle.
