Ch_6:An uninvited visitor

Well, I assume I'm not gaining any rest today. Come on don't conceal. I know you're in there. Come out. Aiyana shoved her veils and open the curtains. Short after unfurling, a bunch of thorns came swaying towards her. Thanks to her fast reflexes she evaded the sharp, pointed thorns covered in poison.

That was a close call," she whispered.

It was a silent night. Aiyana wasn't certain but she felt someone's existence. After Alex left her house she played along and act like she didn't notice anything and moved to her bed.

She closed her eyes and again she felt someone behind her curtain. At this moment she was convinced there was someone in her house.

Hah..childish jest. You finally recalled me, my mate. Aiyana's gorgeous lilac eyes ferociously altered into scarlet as she leaped off her window.

Those BLACK VELVET PETUNIA weren't the flowers she sowed. She was also stunned like Alex when she saw those. And when she brushed those flowers she felt the ebony ambiance that earned her wrath. The flower was attempting to take away custody of her body. But she instantly repress it yet she wasn't able to relax her voice. When she was closing the curtains she saw the black smoke increasing and she smirked expecting an uninvited visitor.

I thought you perished back then. I wonder if it was a tale. She landed flawlessly on the ground and stand in the gloss of the same flower. Ahh...I almost overlooked, you scarcely prevailed right? Unfortunately, I heard your body got annihilated. Is your residency a blossom now? How pretty? She exclaimed.

Enough!!!

A loud raspy voice came out from the flowers and another round of thorns came to her as she turned around and dodge them again.

Slowly the diminutive plant grew larger and larger as the petals turned into human height."If it wasn't for you I wouldn't have to mourn this vastly".It gradually transformed into a human figure and cracked up...

Hahaha...

But it doesn't concern me anymore. And who informed you my body was demolished? It did get some intense deterioration but my eminence in sorcery and a few sacrifices I did back then kept me alive. Now what I need is your blood. So that I can freely wander in my maverick form. She laughed again.

Aiyana: I figured out you won't die that efficiently. If it wasn't for that irrational dragon I would've slain you into chunks. Regardless, why don't you live like you're living right now? People will have nightmares if they saw you walking out at daybreak. If you dwell here sincerely I'll offer you company at dark. Just like now. In the day you can just get back to being a stunning blossom again.

Akantha, the girl that modified herself from petunia raged as she raised her hand and fling some thorns and vines. Aiyana dodged those thorns but the vines caught her. I don't have sufficient duration to converse today. Let me have my body entirely rebounded and I'll come to visit you shortly, My highness.

Aiyana was just making an effort to free herself when she felt an intense ache. The vines were constricting and the thorns were thriving from their stalks.

You insolent thorn...

I offered you the portion of land from my beloved garden and yet you yearned for the earth to soak with my blood.

Aiyana was on her knees as those thorns pierced her wrist. "No matter how intimate a thorn is to a flower it'll only hurt and shed tears of those who admire the blossom. This enviousness of yours has once betrayed its boundaries, don't repeat the same misstep where you end up agonizing".She yelled as she gather her spiritual energy in her hands to subdue the distress.

With her, every term, the thorns were lancing deeper and deeper. The blood dripped all over the beautiful meadows of her garden. With each drop abutting the ground rise a flame and the eyes of Akantha expanded more and more ravenous. She was devouring the blood from the thorns she was running through her. But her insolence didn't want to fritter the blood that was soaking the ground. Yet her damaged body didn't dare to get closer to Aiyana.

How sad your precious blood is getting wasted. I wish I could tidy up that mess for you. But I'm afraid I can't. Akantha laughed and the whole garden echoed. I ultimately got what I want. Your blood taste like a wildflower. Sweet, strong, and vibrant. Hahahah...

I finished the purpose of my visit. I shall get going now. We will meet soon.

Akantha longed for the blood of Aiyana to get her biological appearance perpetually and she got what she desired. She no longer has to be a flower to defend her skin. She fled away. And along with her departure, the vines loosen and vanished. Aiyana rubbed her hand which was leaking blood. The meadows soaked all the blood making the earth look like there was never a drop of blood.

You came back after so long yet you didn't acknowledge your discourse. Aiyana stand on her feet and moved inside her enclosure.

Her eyes were gleaming blood red and the blemishes left on her hand retained on reminding her of a humiliating defeat. She murmured," No matter how many times you get a prospect to live and rectify your blunder, once a fallen dignity will forever be a fallen grace." She clenched her fist and close her eyes to calm herself. Her exquisite lilac shade came back replacing her scarlet eyes.

She went straight to her bed. It was already past midnight. She dressed her wound and burned a lavender incense. Then she went to sleep as if nothing happened.

The following dawn she woke up early and headed back to her garden. She chants a few spells and the blood that was absorbed last night was lost to sight. The flower beds were badly vandalized. She summoned a few monikers in her garden. Shortly after there were five young girls out of blue. They bow their head and said in sync," yes your highness".

All girls were beautifully dressed in light green robes with analogous designs. The imprint on their robes was a ravishing violet. On top of their left chest, each one had a silver brooch with the impression of sunflowers depicting their devotion.
