Chapter One

"Audrey, we're gonna be late!" Andrew shouted from downstairs.

"Be there in a second!" I answered as I looked for my glasses.

Just so you don't get confused here, Audrey Hannah Stone is my name. My story is a cliché but with a little twist. Yeah, I'm what most people would call 'a nerd'. To make it more cliché, I'm your typical nerd. I get straight A's and constantly gets bullied. Oh! and I left out the fact that I'm fat. That's the reason I don't have so many friends. If any cool kid talks to me, it's because they want me to hook them up with either one of my brothers or tell them stuff about my brothers. I have two brothers- Jeffrey and Andrew. Jeffrey is my twin and Andrew is my older brother. Andrew is a year older than me and I'm 4 minutes older than Jeffrey but I'm still treated like the youngest.

"What took you so long?" Andrew asked frustrated.

"I was looking for my glasses." I answered as I entered the car. Most people call him 'Drew'. "Where's Jeff?" I asked as I turned down the volume of the music playing.

"He took the bus. Got tired of waiting for you." I just muttered an 'oh' then I raised back the volume.

"Drey!" a familiar voice shouted behind me. The voice belonged to my best friend, Chesley. I call her 'Chess' for short. She tackled me with a hug. Drew walked away with his friends. Believe it or not, both my brothers are popular kids and considered as two of the school's players. I won't deny it. They are handsome and look like sex gods. I, on the other hand, was a book-loving nerd. I had no fun in me. I'm currently 13 years and so is Jeff. Drew is 14.

"Have you done your project work?" Chess asked me.

"The one about the butterflies?" I asked and she nodded. "Yes, I did it on Friday night."

"Me too." We walked into the gates of school or what Chess and I would call ' the gates to hell'. Chess's parents are dead. She lives with her aunt Bethany who couldn't care less about chess. If Chess was not a determined person, she would have screwed her life up by now as she had the chance to do all those bad stuff since Bethany is a slut herself.

"I had a bad weekend. Bethany kept on throwing those wild parties and I couldn't even concentrate. I have a killer migraine right now." Chess complained.

"That makes two of us. My parents were at it the whole weekend. The great news is that my parents are getting a divorce." I said with loads of sarcasm.

"What? That's bad."

"I know but what can I do? The divorce papers will be signed on Wednesday morning and my dad will leave on Thursday." I sighed

"Oh, God! You mean this Wednesday and Thursday?!!!!" Chess exclaimed and I gave her a sad nod.

"I feel sorry for you." She said holding my hand.

"Don't be. Let's go for the maths class." We were on our way to the class when three figures stood in front of us.

"Well, well, well, if it isn't my favorite people, Audrey and Chesley." The voice of my number one bully said. Yes, ironically, we get bullied. Everyone knows I'm rich and I'm related to two of the most popular boys in school but does it stop them from bullying me? No.

"Yeah, yeah, we love you too. What will we do without you?" I muttered with evident sarcasm.

"What was that?" He heard my comment.

"N-n-nothing" I stuttered. He smirked as he looked at his friends, Josh and Matthew. Before I could even say anything, I was punched in the tummy. Chess also fell to the ground. They kicked and threw punches at us. Chess and I managed to get on our feet and limped to the nurse's office.

"What happened to you guys?" Miss Matilda, the school nurse asked.

"One word." Chess began.

"Chase." I continued.

"Chase Roberts again?" She asked. "You guys have to do something about this."

"Ugh, I don't want to disturb my brothers. They have enough barbie dolls going after them with problems they call their faces." I snorted.

"You have to." Miss Matilda said.

"I'll think about it." I said.

Miss Matilda dressed our wounds and sent us off for our class.

"Ms. Stone and Ms. Brittens, why are you late?" Mr. Sanchester, our math teacher asked. I wanted to tell him that we were beaten up but Jeffrey was in the class.

"Something came up." We answered quickly and rushed to sit down.

"What happened Drey, your face is bruised." Jeff asked me.

"Uh…..I hit my head on my locker." I answered and was glad he believed it or at least I thought so. Math class was usual. We were given homework.

Time went by and Chess and I were bullied again by this time, by Ashley and her minions, Jessica and Britney.

The bell rang indicating it was time to go home.

"Chess?" I called.

"Yes?"

"Wanna come over?" I asked.

"Nah. Bethany asked me to come home today. Maybe next time." She declined and I just nodded sadly.

To be frank, I didn't want to go home. In fact, it is not a home but a hell hole. Life is so cruel even though I'm rich and very rich at that. A seventh-grader like me has to go through a broken home.

Days passed quickly and it's already Thursday. Yeah. My parents are already divorced. My dad was currently talking to me.

"Sweetie, I'm sorry but I got custody of you for 10 years." He said and I gave him a tight hug. "Will you come with me to England?"

"Provided you don't marry some bitch whose head is stuck up her ass." I snorted.

"I didn't know my baby girl could use such words."

"You bring out the best and worst in me. Daddy, you're my crush. I'll get jealous if you bring some bitch to the house like those stories I've read. If she's a nice one, she can stay, and maybe I'd finally get a mother who cares.

"I doubt I'd be bringing anyone. I need a break from women." He was directing the last part to my mother who was probably crying.

"Believe me, I know what you are feeling." The woman hates me. She claims I'm the cause of all her marital problems. I sighed and he helped me pack my clothes. What? I'm a daddy's girl.

We broke the news to everyone and guess what? Chess is coming with us. She needs a break from Bethany. Besides, Bethany doesn't care if Chess is alive or dead.

"Come on let's go." My dad said and we drove to the airport.

The flight was smooth. We rode in first class. Dad, Chess and I chatted throughout the flight.

"Please fasten your seat belt. The plane is about to land." A female's voice said through the intercom.

When we landed, a limousine was outside waiting for us.

Dad's house was huge. Even bigger than the one in New York and believe me when I say that one was huge.

Chess's mouth and mine were still agape from seeing the hugeness of the house.

"Whoah!" I said in utter shock.

"I know the house is HUGE!." Chess said stressing on the huge. The house was filled with so many house helps and others. We used that day to explore and have fun.

Like in movies, I woke up to the sun shining on my face.

"Good morning" I went downstairs after I had done my morning routine. I'm going to school. I mean Chess and I.

"The principal of Belleville called. Girls, we need to go. " Dad said.

"Okay, Dad" Chess and I said in unison.

We drove to the school and settled everything. Dad sent us to his office immediately after we reached the house. We decided We'd start school tomorrow because Dad had something to tell us. He sent us to his office immediately we reached the house.

"Girls, what I'm about to tell you will cause you a lot of shock." Dad told us. We nodded indicating that he should continue even though our hearts were racing and we couldn't help but be afraid.
