'Someone even managed to increase some of their physical attributes by a major tier…' Jin thought as he stared at his little sister.
He remembered their Monthly Physical Assessment Test that they had done just a week ago.
The fact that his sister boasted about her strength attribute that had already reached D- tier made him feel both proud and bitter.
Although Instructor Agnes said that she had monstrous physical talent and that she wouldn't be able to increase her physical strength as fast when she reached a higher tier, it still made him ponder about the unfairness of the world.
"Hey Jin!" "Hey Tanya!"
The siblings looked at the ones who called them and smiled.
It was Marco and Rowena.
Throughout the month that they had spent at the Training Center, their relationship had become better.
Marco had liked Jin's personality the more time he spent with him since they "played" dodgeball.
Rowena, on the other hand, had always been Tanya's best friend. However, she also liked being close to Jin.
As the four chatted, the members of their friend group also came to them one by one.
It consisted of Tanya's girl friends and the group of boys that Jin mercilessly defeated in dodgeball.
Jin felt that he was finally a normal child as he had always felt out of place due to his condition.
Though in Marco and the other boys' thoughts, he was anything but normal.
Having friends and playing with them, eating lunch with them, playing after attending Training Center with them and many more.
"Goodmorning, weaklings!"
However, before he could enjoy the moment any further, a loud voice echoed in the assembly area.
The children who were happily talking to their friends instantly shut their mouth as they saw the brown haired woman with a fiery temper on the platform.
After the area became silent, Instructor Agnes began to speak, "You guys got lucky as you lot will not be having your Physical Training class today."
Woahhh–
Her words caused children to cheer happily as they clenched their fist with joy.
"You know that the day of the Demon Beast Wave is approaching, right?"
Hearing the words "Demon Beast Wave", the children became silent again.
They knew the seriousness of this matter as everytime it happened, there would be casualties in the fortress.
Most of the children who enrolled in the Training Center had parents in the frontlines, they witnessed the effects of the battle first hand every time they saw their parents come back home with injuries.
Seeing this, Instructor Agnes continued, "Well, it just so happens that the castellan is kind enough to give an opportunity to weaklings like you."
Her words still stung, but the children had already been used to it.
They became curious as they heard her words as they talked among themselves.
Instructor Agnes spoke again, "The castellan decided that the future generation of soldiers and warriors should be aware of the preparations done before the Demon Beast Wave."
"This should be a matter for your later years in the Training Center, but the castellan and the director both decided that you must broaden your horizons…"
"Therefore, prepare yourselves and after a few minutes, we'll go to the battle camp to see how the warriors and soldiers prepared for the Demon Beast Wave!"

Her words caused an uproar to the trainees as they became overwhelmed with excitement.
Tanya and Jin weren't any different as they widened their eyes in excitement.
It was their first time seeing their father at work.

The children finished preparing and went back to the assembly area as they talked among themselves.
"Do you think General Mika will be there too?"
"For sure! I heard that she has always been present whenever there are demon beast waves!"

Jin heard the conversation of some of the boys.
He became curious and asked Marco beside him, "Who's General Mika?"
As if he couldn't believe what he heard, Marco eyed Jin with a strange look.
"What? Why are you looking at me like that?"
"Bro, how could you not know General Mika!? She's talented, strong, and beautiful! The dream girl of every boy in town!"
Marco had a passionate tone of voice which Jin had already been used to.
He noticed that whenever speaking about girls, Marco would always be passionate and lively.
This made Jin come to a conclusion; that he was a simpleton.
Knowing his personality, Jin raised his eyebrow and asked, "Oh? Is she really that strong?"
As expected, Marco began his speech, "Don't you know that General Mika is a First Class Warrior who graduated from the Training Center 5 years ago!? She's very talented with the sword that became First Class just a few years after graduating! She was so talented that she was hired by Lord Axton to be a general!"
Jin acted interested, "Then what sword does she use?"
"She uses a katana and she's known to be talented with Tidal Arts! She is so beautiful that every flower in town couldn't compare to her…" Marco ranted on and on with a passionate expression.
However, Jin stopped listening when he heard the words "Tidal Arts".
'Interesting. From its name, it should be an Aura Art that can only be practiced by those with affinity to water…' Jin was deep in thought as he pondered.
Aura Arts are the main weapon of Warriors. It was the use of aura that made it possible for them to battle higher ranking magic beasts and demon beasts.
"We need to see her…" He muttered with an interested expression.
Marco heard him and smiled toothily as he put his arm over Jin's shoulder, "Hah! I know that you will come to appreciate the beauty of maidens sooner or later! I didn't expect it to come so soon. Bro, I'm so proud of you!"
However, what Jin didn't notice was that Marco wasn't the only one who heard his muttering.
'What!? Who's this General Mika and why does brother have an interested look on his face?' Tanya, who also heard Jin's mutters, began overthinking.
She glanced at her friends on the side and noticed that they all had worried expressions on their faces.
Clearly, they also heard Jin.
A frown appeared on Tanya's face, 'Hey, why do you all look worried too!?'
