Awakening a Supernatural Power

From their place, Jin could see children coming out of the tent. Some had a happy expression on their faces, and there were those who were crying from disappointment.

He checked and saw that the 23rd child had just entered the tent.

'It's almost our turn…' Jin thought, filled with nervousness in his heart.

His little sister was 25th and he was 26th.

He looked at his little sister and saw that she's waving at her friends on the other lines.

This eased up his expression, 'She really made a lot of friends, did she?'

The sight of her sister waving at her friends made Jin smile.

"Oh, I'm next!" Tanya exclaimed. She looked at her brother and said, "I'll be going, Brother! Let's compete on who would be more talented!"

Jin replied without hesitation, "Okay, the loser would cook for the other forever! Good luck, Sister!"

Tanya smiled and waved at her brother.

Jin wasn't worried that Tanya would make a mistake since their father had already briefed them last night about the things they had to do.

Their talent would be recorded according to the following; Gray, Copper, Bronze, Gold, Silver, Platinum and Diamond.

Gray would mean that the child's energy core wouldn't improve anymore they would only be able to use a very limited amount of worldly energy. Copper would mean that the individual would only be able to reach Copper Core in the future. While Bronze would mean that the energy core would reach Bronze Core in the future.

Jin had also read books about the stages of energy cores even though he didn't have one.

Each stage was divided into 3 states namely Dark, Light and Clear.

Black - the color of everyone's energy core at birth.

Gray - the color of the energy core of an individual who had succeeded in their Awakening Ceremony. It is also the color required to be a Trainee Warrior, Mage or Priest.

Copper - the color required to be a Third Class Professional.

Bronze - the color required to be a Second Class Professional.

Gold - the color required to be a First Class Professional.

And so on and so forth. Jin had also read that the reason for the order of the colors being like that was because the goal of professionals was to cleanse and purify their energy core.

Meaning that copper color would signify that the energy core still had flesh and blood in it. Gold would mean that the core only has bits of flesh and blood in it. Silver, on the other hand, would mean that the energy core was devoid of fleshy impurities and only contained pure energy.

From then on, the professionals would strive to clean and purify the energy within their core.

Platinum was the highest realm one could achieve at the present. The reason for this was because at that point, the process of purifying energy would almost be non-existent. Diamond Core was nothing but a myth for the people of the present.

It was said that the Diamond Core would mean that the energy core would be cleared of any impurities and that the energy core would be devoid of color, meaning that it would be completely transparent.

The reason for the tiers of talent being the same as the stages of the energy core was because one that had Silver Talent in any worldly energy would for sure reach the Silver Core Stage in the future and a high chance to reach the rank of a Master Class Professional.

Of course, the requirements of being a certain professional class was more complicated than that. The color of the core wouldn't be the only criteria.

This meant that reaching Silver Class and Master Class were a separate matter altogether. However, an individual with a Silver Core would undoubtedly be very powerful.

Jin had asked his father in the past the importance of the class classification system.

Since everyone could be classified according to the colors of their core, why would they need to have another classification system?

The reason for this is to make sure that an individual would have capabilities matching their rank.

There were those who have reached the Silver Core Stage but hadn't even killed a single demon beast in their lives. Those people would be worth less than a Second Class or even a Third Class Professional.

"Brother!"

Tanya's voice woke Jin up from his stupor.

Jin saw his little sister smile proudly at him before waving and running towards the waiting area where their father was.

'It's time…' Jin took a deep breath before walking towards the tent. Determination filled his eyes.

Entering the tent, what greeted Jin's sight was a table. On the table, three crystal balls were placed in parallel to each other. There was a tube that connected all three of the crystal balls to a single crystal orb.

The three crystal balls each had energy in the form of mist that wiggled inside them. The first one had light green energy in it, the one next to it had light blue energy while the last one contained light yellow energy.

'This must be the Awakening Device mentioned by father. And the colors must represent aura, mana and holy energy respectively. ' Thought Jin. He was familiar with seeing worldly energies. That was why he instantly identified each of them.

"Please place your hand on the crystal ball."

A voice sounded.

Only now did he notice the official that stood on the side of the table while holding a notebook.

His focus was absorbed by the artifact in front of him.

Taking a deep breath once again, Jin placed his hand on the clear crystal ball where all the others were connected to.

Mmmmm~

A soft sound could be heard as the energies flowed into the glass tubes that connected them into the clear crystal ball.

The energies intertwined when they reached the clear crystal ball before entering Jin's hand which was placed on it.

Jin could feel soft energy enter his body, it baptized his body before disappearing.

"Ahh!"

A splitting headache suddenly assaulted him, making him nearly collapse.

The official moved fast and caught Jin before making him sit on a chair.

After a few minutes, the official made sure that Jin had calmed down and asked, "A supernatural power?"

Jin nodded with slight difficulty.

"What is it called?" The official asked perfunctorily.
