Chapter 22 CH 22: I Need Help

Waking up the next morning, Anne felt like a hammer is hitting from the inside of her skull. Feeling too tired and her body being sore all over, Anne wanted so much to take a day off from work.

She was in no mood to face Ashton. Not after what she had caused to happen last night at the high end restaurant called Zhou Cuisine.

It was bad enough that Ashton left her at the side of the street after their meeting with Loretta yesterday. He was angry at her flirting with Lucas in the car on their way back to office.

Anne got off from the car angrily not wanting to talk to him after that. She even threaten to quit her job leaving him to settle his deal with Loretta himself. The car drove off leaving her standing on the road side.. alone.

She then called Sammy to pick her up but he did not answer her calls. Feeling hurt, Anne walked to the nearest taxi stand hoping to get a ride. The battery of her hand phone was also dead.
