Renard Quinn's trip to Desert Port was already a done deal, and now it all depended on Uncle Pine's attitude.

Renard Quinn saw that Uncle Pine hadn't gone to bed yet, and through the never tightly closed door, he could still see the faint light leaking from the room.

Just about to push the door open, Renard Quinn heard Uncle Pine sighing deeply.

Glancing through the crack in the door, Renard Quinn saw Uncle Pine holding a picture frame in his hand, but because of the reflection on the glass, he couldn't see who was in the photo.

There was no need to guess, it must be Sophie Quinn.

Renard Quinn sighed and gently knocked on the door.

The knock caught Uncle Pine's attention, and he turned the picture frame upside down on the table and went to open the door for Renard Quinn.

"Young Master?" Uncle Pine was stunned. "Why are you still awake at this late hour?"
