Chapter 54: It's late

" Hey, what do you mean by that...do not do anything, I will be right there, give me ten minutes okay " Nicole said as she hanged up the call.

Raymond looked at Nicole anxiously as she quickly got up and picked her bags.

" I have to leave now, I am sorry but it is urgent, I promise to make it up to you later " Nicole said as fast as she could as she quickly walked to the door without waiting to hear a response from Raymond.

' how would she leave like that...she just arrived and she wants to leave..I really need her by side now that I am not feeling to well ' Raymond said to himself.

' but it is not right to leave her at this dangerous hour of the night to go on her own to wherever she is going to and it looks like it is very important to her ' he thought as her rubbed his head.

Raymond got up and rushed to Nicole before she could get to the door then he held her hand.

" Nicole..I.. " Raymond stammered while he looked at her.

" Raymond please I am in a hurry right now, I need to go " Nicole said as she looked down at his hands curled on hers.

" I know, I understand...I just can not leave you to go on your own at this hour, it is too dangerous to drive at this hour " Raymond explained to her and definitely he was right, as a lady it would be very dangerous for her to drive at this hour to God knows where she was going.

He did not want any harm to come her way neither did he want her to be a victim of deadly circumstances.

" So what is your plan? Because I need to get there real quick " Nicole said as she opened the entrance door.

" I would like go with you, that will be better at least to protect you " Raymond replied not forgetting the fact that Nicole could take proper care if herself, she was not someone to get tampered with but at that he needed to be with her and also be there for her Incase something comes up.

" Okay...I really appreciate that, I just hope I am not bothering you because it is quite late " Nicole said even at the fact that she was so happy that he talked about following her and it totally means that he cares about her safety.

" No you are not, I really want to make sure you are safe " Raymond said, he was also happy she accepted his request about following her, he did not want to miss a chance with her.

" That is so thoughtful of you, so I think we should get going now, it is really urgent " Nicole said as she withdraw her hand from Raymond's and wished he would not get upset about removing her hand from his hand but the truth was that there was nothing between them.
