ENGAGEMENT DAY (1)

"Am sorry…'' he apologized while looking straight into her eyes.

"It's just that you look so extremely everything and I just don't know what to say nor how to put it either that's why.''

"Just tell me whatever you are thinking right now…" she insisted.

"Will you get angry again if I say…" he paused.

"Say what Elias she impatiently asked.

He pulled her closer to himself, "if I say am really not thinking about anything right now.''

"There is always something at any circumstance or somewhere no matter what Elias… so tell me whatever you are thinking right now.'' She said to him because that's what she believes.

"Alright but don't laugh at me okay

"I promise I won't laugh."

"Instead, i will only listen to what you are going to say to me carefully only.'' She added to boost him more.

"You look everything..." was what Elias said.

"...Everything... what Elias… come on just say it already because we are getting late for the banquet already.'' She said to him because she can't believe he is being like this when he knows very well that today is their engagement.

"I really can't believe you are being like this right now, we are seriously are going to be late for the banquet Elias.'' She said again while trying to keep her cool with him and holding back her anger since she promised not to get angry nor laugh at him earlier. and hun laugh at him my foot.

Is he really being shy right now or is he just doing this as part of his strategy to win her over because for the past couple of months he has been doing a lot of things to win her over. Is the only thought that is rooming inside her head right now.

And she really can't deny the fact that she is indeed falling for him because of all the efforts he has been putting towards his attempts to try and win over her love.

"You look… gorgeous!'' he stammered along the way but still manage to say it.

"Just gorgeous because you said I look everything just now don't forget Mr. Watson.'' She purposely asked,

"Of course not!'' He hurriedly said.

"Am listening then…''

"You look alluring!''

"Bewitching!''

"Ravishing!''

"Devine!''

"Lovely and elegant Miss Fernandez… oh no soon to be Mrs. Watson.'' He smiled at her after completing his words.

"Wow, am really overwhelmed Mr. Watson… you sure know how to give a complement.'' Esmeralda said to him because he really knows how to out done himself.

Elias couldn't help himself and smiles at Esmeralda's comments, even he himself is surprised at what he just did because this is his first time complementing a woman.

He usually is used to complementing Diane only and his sister is still young and he is also used to only say, "You look pretty princess!'' and he knows pretty isn't the only word that Esmeralda is looking today, that's why he made sure to take his time and think carefully before saying anything to her earlier.

And also she was right earlier when she said there is always something in any circumstance or anywhere because he indeed believes in that as well.

You can also use that phrase to describe him as well because the man that he is always make sure to get whatever he wants no matter what and also how he obtains it doesn't matter as long as it will belong to him.

"So, shall we go and take the first step that will make you the future Mrs. Watson?" Elias said while given out his hand for Esmeralda to take.

"Oh, no I am supposed to say the second step because the first step was us getting to know each other right?" he asked.

"Yes Elias, you are right.'' She answered him.

"And then the third step is getting married.''

Then staying together forever and ever through thick and thin until death do us apart is the final and last step right future Mrs. Watson he asked again

Esmeralda who listen to what ever Elias said carefully answers him, "That's right Elias; you are right at what you just said.'' and smile a little at him.

"With all that said and done… then shall we he said while stretching out his hand out for her.

"Yes of course, we can Mr. Watson… lets go and take the second step into the most biggest and life changing decision of both our lives.'' She said her last words on purpose to remind Elias and still let him know that she is putting her trust in him and giving him the prime moments of her life and she hopes that he won't disappoint her.

And will stay through to all his words and promises.

"Are you both seriously planning on coming late to your own banquet?" they both heard Linda and Diane's voices.

"We were asked to come and get the both of you lovebirds.'' Linda said.

"So come on lets go now sister in-law.'' Diane euthausically said.

She move forward and pulled Esmeralda out of Elias's arms and hold Elias's hand with her other hand and start working towards the banquet area with them both together.

"Let's go Sister Linda.'' She said and calls out to Linda.

"Yes let's go!'' was Linda's responds.

Diane who couldn't help but kept smiling at how she is holding both her brother's and soon to be sister in law's hands that are intertwine with hers as if they are both her dates for the day.

Linda glared maniacally at Diane who is busy smiling at herself and what she believes is a foolish act because she wonders what the young Watson finds interesting in them just walking that are making her smile so foolishly.

Esmeralda who knew what is making the young girl smile so much smiles back at her while looking at her in a very loving way with her deep brown eyes full of love.

Linda who was watching the whole scene that is unfolding in front of her, finally come to the realization of what was making the young Watson smile foolishly earlier. This made her glared even more deeply at her.

No way, is she sharing her sisters' sisterly love with this young girl? It's just not happening….and she will make sure of that.

She already has to share her sister with that brother of hers already and she can reason with why, but for this young girl…she is not allowing it because she already had it enough with having to put up with that Elias and she won't do the same with his little foolish sister as well. No way sir, there is no way she is going to…

She is going to make it her mission to get close and keep an eye on the Watson's young daughter in other to see and monitor how their relationship is going to develop from now on.

The girl isn't going to steal her sister away from her; no way she is letting that happened….she isn't going to allow that no matter what happened.

Since she already has an idea on what to do, she just needs to start executing it. And today is sure the best day to start as well; she is going to make use of today being the engagement day and will make her first move into getting close to that naïve and foolish little girl. She is sure if she makes use of today, the naïve girl won't even ever think she has a motive behind her acts and actions at all.

Beside the girl is too naïve to even think of suspecting her at all.
