Replanning

Selene stood midway as she halted at the sight of Jane at her doorstep. What had she come to cause now? Selene felt her veins boil with anger as she remembered the image she was at the penthouse. Since she was already here, might as well explain.

"Jane? What are you doing here?" Jake asked his voice low as he tried not to scare the kids.

"Daddy, didn't you say, nanny is on holiday?" Breanna asked, looking at him in confusion.

"Yes darling, Jane just came to pick some of her things, isn't that right, Jane!" Selene asked, her tone coming out as a threat.

"Yes ma'am," Jane answered, lowering her eyes in shame as she attempted to avoid eye contact.

"Kids I made your favorite cookies, run along and have some," Selene announced as the twins ran towards the dining room. Selene smiled, knowing that would keep them occupied for a while.

"What are you doing here, Jane!" Jake demanded his eyes turn red in anger.
