Invitation

The walls of the mansion reflected all the happy memories of his grandmother in his mind. She was like a mother to him and to accept that she was gone, Jake couldn't help but think he was in a dream.

Jake barely touched his breakfast, feeling full with no appetite. Selene stole glances at him, not uttering any comment on his behavior. She was worried he could suffer even more if she mentioned it. It appeared as if he was in a whole new world with nothing he recognized around him.

"You know you have to talk to someone about how you're feeling at some point, babe, right?" Selene asked worriedly.

Jake felt like lightning had touched his nerves. He wished to talk to her and tell her how he felt, but he just couldn't.

Sliding back the seat he sat on he took the car keys that were by the door before storming out to get rid of all the pent-up frustration he felt. He pulled out his phone, texting George, not sure if he would make it or not.
