Fighting and Confusion

Selene's eyes searched into the congregation for Jake as she entered the church. Spotting him at the corner holding Breanna in his arms with Dean beside him, she smiled lightly.

He looked so peaceful on the outside, but she knew him better to know that that was just a face.

Selene settled next to Charlotte who held her sleeping baby in her arms.

"Selene I'm so sorry you hope you're doing fine," Charlotte whispered, squeezing her hand. They hadn't had time to talk about anything since everything had happened so fast.

"No worries Charr, I'm okay, how's my little prince doing?" Selene asked, placing her finger at the tip of his nose playfully.

"He's fine Lene, how are things with Jake? I heard what happened," Charlotte asked, her eyes filled with care.

They both heard the MC start the ceremony, making Selene sigh in relief at the good timing. She didn't want to talk about that yet.
