Chapter 26 The Country Home

Since that incident that they had drunken sex, Stark hadn’t spoken to Sherry. The silent treatment continued for two long days. They had since then checked out from the hotel and after a few hours, reached Stark’s parents’ home. Stark remained silent, only responding with a nod or a shake of his head in response to Walter’s questions. Due to this, Sherry didn’t feel the inclination to even ask. At the same time, she wondered if anything had changed with Anders’ condition.

But she knew that if she’d even breathed as much as a word of it, Stark would be much displeased. So she just kept her thoughts to herself. She awaited an opportunity to be alone so she could send an email to Dr Connor. Perhaps she could get one once she reached the home, which she expected to be a mansion, considering Stark’s wealth.
