IS SHE ALIVE?

She knew he wasn't going to listen to anything about Aria so she made up her mind to go there herself. This was a matter of life and death for Aria and her child. She wasn't going to let that child suffer off her dislike for Aria, even if it wasn't Cole's.

Cole speed-walked towards the room directed to him, he was in the mortuary, the mortuary where he had kept Ayla's body to be buried.

"Sir, you're here so fast?" Kim asked in shock.

"Why? Did you expect me to be here any later" he asked with dangerous sarcasm.

Kim stopped at once knowing that He was here for serious business.

"Sir this was the doctor who was in charge of Miss Ayla's body," he said referring to a middle-aged man in a lab coat.

"So…what about it?" he asked impatiently.

He didn't like this place, it reminded him of the past. It reminded him of the night that took his beloved away from him forever, of how her pale body stared at him lifelessly, of how she died with her eyes open; he had to shut them with his palms.

"He has something to say" Kim signaled to the doctor to speak.

"Miss Ayla's body was brought over here and it was put to refrigerate but…"

***FLASHBACK (three years ago) ***

"Sir this body is to be placed in a special cooling room, it is the fiancée of Mr. Hendrix, and it has to be treated with the utmost care," the doctor said.

"Okay sir, we will take it to be cleaned," a nurse said.

***BACK TO THE PRESENT***

The doctor continued, "But one night, while I passed through the room where her body was kept, I heard a strange sound"

***BACK TO FLASHBACK***

"Knock! Knock! Knock! Help!" a female voice resounded from the room.

The scared him, his mind started to wonder what sound would come from a corpse. He was about to ignore it when he heard another sound.

"Please, help me! Cole! help" he heard again.

If he didn't strongly believe that ghosts were not real, he would have taken to his heels. He summoned the courage to walk into the room and placed his ears close to the iron freezer.

"Please help me out!" this time clearer.

From here he was convinced that she was not dead but fully alive and she was begging to be saved. He wondered why she was sent here alive.

He quickly unlocked it and opened the freezer, revealing a pale, traumatized lady who was already struggling to stay alive. She seemed relieved that she was saved.

"Tyler, Edith, Mary…get the stretcher." He alarmed

She was brought out of the freezer to her weak, cold, and shaky legs but soon passed out.

***PRESENT TIME***

"So… she never died?" Cole asked in utmost shock as his heartbeat began racing.

"Yes Sir," he said in confusion.

"So? Where is she?" He asked expectantly.

"Tell me where is my Ayla?"

He held the poor old man so close by the collar like a lion about to devour his prey. The old doctor was so scared he could have gotten a heart attack but held himself knowing Cole's rage and impatience were bad enough to bring the dead back to life to face his wrath.

"Sir..w-we treated her an-a-and… sent her over to Tael Hospital."

***FLASHBACK***

"Miss Ayla you're not strong enough to be discharged," a doctor said.

"I know but… I want to go back home and then wipe the tears off his face" she said.

"You can do that by giving us permission to inform him you're alive." The doctor replied.

"No! Don't I want him to be surprised" she smiled brightly.

"Okay, at least call any of your trusted friends or family members" he begged.

"Okay, I'll call my friend Aria to pick me up" she replied with childish excitement.

"Hello!" Aria picked up the call.

"Aria, I'm in Tael Hospital," she said.

"Ayla!" Aria said in disbelief.

She felt like all her happiness was taken from her. She taught she had him all to herself but now the rightful owner was back.

"But how is that possible, you were pronounced dead weren't you?" she asked in shock.

"I'll explain it to you later, just pick me up, I'm ready to go home."

"Wait, Ay, have you informed Cole?" she asked with a crossed finger hoping she didn't.

"No, I haven't, please don't, I want it to be a surprise," Ayla begged.

Her last statement made a smile appear on Aria's face she was going to make sure she ended it right there, right now.

"So, you're trying to say that Aria was called to take her back home?" Cole asked in suspicion.

He was trying to figure out what was happening.

"ARIA!!!" Ashley shouted as she searched through the forest. This was the area where the GPS lead her. She had been tracking Aria via GPS. She occasionally tried her line but to no avail.

Every single path she passed through triggered fear and weird memories. She hated the feeling that this forest gave her. She was walking through a familiar path that she was sure led to a cliff.

"Why is Aria hiding around a cliff?" she thought out loud.

"So, it is true, you truly are Ayla," a familiar sinister voice said just behind her.

Aria turned towards the person behind her. Whom she saw, gave her a great shock.
