And so it began. The search for Angelou commenced and the men whom my father hired started their manhunt operation in different States all across the globe. Before I left his place the night before, we already came up with a plan that would not alert Lucy and give her any suspicious thoughts about what we have ahead of us. With that, as part of our plotting, he visited my residence first thing the next morning as what he had told me he would do.
"Dad! What brought you here?" I voiced out loud enough, so Lucy, who was on her way down, would be aware of my father's presence.
"I decided to head here before going to the empire. I have an early business meeting to attend."
"You should have called me instead. How urgent is this that you had to say that you can't do it on the phone?"
"I wish to talk to you about our company's new venture and it's better to tell it to you personally, Gabriel."
