LUCY

A disturbing call abruptly woke me up, which made me grumpily stir and hastily removed Philip's leg that was heavily weighed on my thigh. My irritation for the sudden awakening increases when I beheld who the caller was. A deep and laborious breath escaped from me as I answered the interrupting caller.

"It's just four in the morning, Harvey, don't you sleep? This better be of utmost importance for you to disturb my slumber" I crotchety murmured before moving away from Philip, who slightly opened his eyes before returning to sleep.

"I need money, Lucy," He abruptly demanded without a hint of decency.

"Again? I just gave you the other day, right? I sent it to your bank account, haven't you checked it?"

"I did and spent it already. Farrah has a scheduled appointment later with her doctor and I don't have any cash with me."
