Chapter 65 Foretell (5)

Three days ago the snowstorm stopped. Slowly, there is no snow falling in the sky anymore. Although the winter snow is gone, there are ten more days before Summer arrives. It is still cold and the snow is piled outside, not yet melting.

Beastmen are now all out, cleaning the tribe, taking away all the snow from their house, fixing those that are ruined and destroyed by the snowstorm, and arranging their home so the females that were sheltered by the strong houses could go home early.

Of course, those who went out to work are ready to go home, that includes the physicians and the beastmen that protected them.

A beastman came into Hu'er room. He's a bit wet, just finished washing up.

Hu'er looks up and her eyes shine.

"Daddy Min He you're back!" Hu'er stopped braiding her ropes and ran towards Min He.

Min He carried her as soon as she got in front of him. "Did Hu'er miss Daddy?"

He hugged him tightly. Min He also noticed how heavy she is. He felt relieved to know that they didn't starve Hu'er.

"Yes!" Hu'er nodded her head so much to tell him that she really did miss him.

Full of affection, he kisses her on the forehead, "Daddy miss Hu'er too."

"Down. Daddy put me down. I'll inspect you." Hu'er wiggles herself out of his arms to go down.

"Oh?" Min He let her be and waited for what she would do.

Hu'er squinted her eyes, both arms crossed on her chest, she circled around him and inspected his body for injuries.

While inspecting Min He's body, Hu'er couldn't help but admire his figure, 'Didn't know that Daddy Min He is buff too.'

She stops circling and asks him to give her his wrist. Min He was amused by what she had been doing. He gave her his wrist, waiting for her movement. He didn't expect her to feel his pulse.

"Relax Daddy. I won't be able to feel it."

"Hmm…" Min He couldn't help but smile. He composed himself, letting her do what she wanted.

"No injuries, very healthy. Daddy is very good." Hu'er is satisfied with what she's done.

She waved at Ke Rin, "Check Daddy Min He. See if I did well."

"Hu'er is talented, it is for sure done well." Ke Rin still stood up and check Min He's pulse.

He nodded, "Healthy." Then looks at Hu'er, smiling at her.

"You learned how to feel the pulse?" Min He looks at Hu'er, shocked.

"Yes!" Hu'er chin up, proud.

"She also learned how to make wounds medicine and cold medicine." Even Ke Rin is proud. Every time Ke Rin is not busy he would teach Hu'er. It's hard for Hu'er to learn how to feel the pulse but still did it. 

While Min He still couldn't believe what he heard, Hu'er asked him, "Where are the other Daddies?"

Min He blinked and smiled, "They are all taking hot baths and will be resting later. I'll tell them to visit you first." He ruffled her hair.

Hu'er waves her hand, "No, no! Let Daddies rest first. Daddy Min He must go and rest too. Health is important."

By how concerned Hu'er is, Min He couldn't but smile and agreed with her in a coaxing tone, "Yes. Health is important. Hu'er is right."

She then finally saw that under Min He's eyes are a bit puffed and dark. She felt bad. Hu'er pushed him out of her room."Go. Go. Daddy should rest."

Min He chuckles, "Alright, alright. I will."

When he went out, Hu'er looks at Jiu Lin who is making summer clothes, "Brother Jiu Lin, I want hot soup. Give Daddies too."

He put down the fabric, "Hmm… I'll cook it. Ke Rin stays here. I'll call Shun Su and Xin Hua so you have someone with you."

She then added, "If Shun Su looks okay, tell him to snoop around."

Chuckles, "I will." He then went out.

Soon enough, Xin Hua who hadn't gotten home came running inside, sitting on Hu'er's lap. Xin Hua is used to doing it. Every time he went into her room, he would immediately go to her lap. It became his hobby.

Ke Rin pursed his lips and couldn't help but warn Ke Rin, "Don't do that when we are outside. You can only do that if you are already Hu'er's mate. Don't taint Hu'er's reputation."

Xin Hua squeak and nod his head. Hu'er taps his paw. "Don't worry, Xin Hua knows what to do and not to do," Hu'er gently pacify Ke Rin.

Ke Rin is acting like her father again. He does that a lot and Hu'er knows how protective Ke Rin is towards her.

Jiu Lin is done cooking the soup and gave it to their Daddies. He also brought her some.

Ke Rin went out to get his and Xin Hua's portion. Even if he didn't want to get Xin Hua's portion, he would still go and get him a bowl or else Hu'er would give half of hers to Xin Hua.

Shun Su came in holding a bowl of soup with Ke Rin following behind him. "Hu'er." His eyes are shining.

For almost whole winter since he has last seen Hu'er. He misses her so much. When Shun Su heard that Hu'er want to see him and gave him a task, he immediately ran around and asked all his friends what happened with their life.

After getting all the information and washing up, he directly went to their house only to see Ke Rin scooping a bowl of soup. Shun Su was given a bowl of soup first before he was allowed to go in.

"Shun Su, how are the winter days?" Hu'er signaled him to go to her.

Shun Su sat in front of Hu'er and told her what happened to his winter days and the information he got from his friends.

While Shun Su is telling her information that happened around the whole tribe, the Daddies of Hu'er are telling their experience. Min He who was told to rest is also there. He is writing a summary of what happened on each side of them.

While listening to everyone, Jiu Hu and Qiang Li looked down. They could now confirm, Hu'er could foretell.
