Chapter 48 Sick (2)

After Aunt Qiao wiped Hu'er body she went off to go home. Xin Hua remained in their house and didn't want to go home. Earlier, Aunt Qiao pushed her son on them and said that she wouldn't dwell on how she was treated earlier if they let her son live with them for three days. They were helpless but didn't think too much.

Xin Hua comes and goes to their house every day, and nothing changes except for the fact he will sleep with Jiu Lin and the other cubs downstairs for three days. They just need to be on guard in case Xin Hua will sneak into their daughter's room. They heard from the cubs that Xin Hua was actually with them when they snuck into Hu'er room for the first time. It mustn't be repeated.

However, two beastmen came which gave them a headache. Now, Xin Hua wasn't the only one who is going to sleep over, Shun Su will too. Shun Su's father, Jiu Su came and threw him to the treatment house with the excuse of; asking them to teach Shun Su to make medicine so Hu'er would have a mate who knows how to make medicine and if they are too busy, Shun Su can become their helper. After that Jiu Su ran away.

Before they could even arrange everything, Song Li came too. He is living in the temporary house that they have just beside the treatment house. He didn't go back with his Tribe although the Seasonal Trading is done. He was forcefully tasked to let the two accompany him to sleep. The Daddies are now happy that the two 'stinky cubs' have been arranged to sleep somewhere that's not in their home. Instead of making them sleep over at the treatment house, their home, Xin Hua and Shun Su would sleep with Song Li so the two look like wilted plants as they follow Song Li to his temporary house.

Hu'er woke up when the sun was about to set. She drank her second medicine, ate some meat and vegetable soup, and drank the milk that Song Li gave her. She knew that the event had already ended so it was a surprise for her that Song Li stayed. Hu'er was transferred to her room when they felt that she was getting better already.

Jiu Lin is feeding her berries. Shun Su is telling her everything that happened when she's asleep, completely filtering it without Hu'er's notice. Xin Hua is laying down beside Hu'er, letting her groom his fur. Song Li is just sitting down near them, looking around the room.

This is Song Li's first time here. He never thought he could come into the room of Hu'er, his future mate. Song Li even blushed for a bit and calmed down when he heard that the three of them have always been like this, visiting Hu'er almost every day. Naturally, Jiu Lin could come and go to Hu'er's room but the other two shouldn't be allowed to do it.

Everyone is pitying him that his future mate has strict daddies, but there are no daddies who would let a beastmen or future mate be alone with their daughter. Yes, her Daddies are all out and working. They left them here to stay with Hu'er. Confident that they wouldn't do anything to Hu'er. Of course, it's also because Jiu Lin is accompanying them.

Every beastmen who can help them find herbs can trade medicine at a much lower rate. For example, if they give them full ingredients to create a cold medicine they can trade it for a two fist size of meat. If it's only half, they need to give them a small basket of meat. If they don't give them any ingredients, not even one ingredient, it will cost them one big basket of meat.

Every medicine they make for winter is a pill or a pure liquid that can last throughout the winter. Most beastmen choose to get cold medicine pills, and throat liquid.

After working for food and medicine the whole tribe will go further to cut some dead trees that can be used for winter. Almost half of the tribe will go in and out again to get all the materials they need for winter. This is the busiest season they always have, the Fall Season.

Meanwhile, Hu'er is in her room in a daze. Hu'er is still feeling sick but her throat is fine, her body is not weak anymore or too hot and she regained her energy. She even wants to stand up and walk around as her body is feeling a little bit jittery.

Hu'er had a feeling that she forgot something. All Hu'er could remember was going home with her Daddies and Jiu Lin after she saw a female like her future mate and then she went to sleep with Jiu Lin keeping her company. After that, she didn't know what happened. Every time she looks at those ears and tails there is something that she wanted to remember but couldn't. She also felt very sad and shocked when she woke up but didn't know why.

"Hu'er?" She blinks and looks at Jiu Lin who called her. "Is there something wrong? Are you in pain?" He looks worried.

She looks at her other three future mates, they too look worried and even in panic. Song Li didn't wait for Hu'er to respond. He couldn't help himself and ran down to call Jiu Hu.

Hu'er wiped her tears that fell. She didn't know why she was crying or when it started. She looks at Jiu Lin, a female suddenly flashed in her memory. Words came out of her mouth.
