Chapter 15- Dad's going bck to the border

Taking her home on an obvious road, there are guards everywhere that will catch anyone around the city during the night, it's nearly 10 so I had to take her somewhere secretly

If only I could teleport to make things easier, but I guess I can't

"Where are we heading?" She asked looking up to me

"You'll see!!" I know a route just to get to the palace secretly, my past life was kind of an adventure around this country, if I say I pretended to be a nurse one time I did.... I know cos I saw this princess crying from her husband's affair and I was a pretend nurse from a doctor who was also pretending to be a palace doctor, it was a risk but worth it to steal from a palace and make money, overall, we just gave her pills and advises, she never even knew me as the kicked out son of Kronus, I took advantage in trying to keep her fever away, that's why when I saw her younger version I was flattered, after her marriage, her looks changed out of a reason, she was later confirmed to have consumed poison from her makeups but no one defended her because of how busy the king was to keep the country from falling during a starting war... She was like a spoiled princess married to one of the high nobles and doing nothing, and me a kicked out son who became homeless, then a thief who barged around her house to steal her belongings... Thinking about it now makes me feel guilty of how much of a jerk I was, but I at least peeled her a fruit and made sure she ate

"Woah- how did you know this back side of the palace" we rode for about half an hour, the palace hills are bumpy but I'm glad Valerian is a big horse, she got to see the beautiful sea view and starry skies

"This is quite a tricky route but at least you can get inside without disturbing anyone!!"

"You sound like you've been here before?" I didn't answer but led her somewhere to get in

"How do you know this place better than I do!!" She said while I pull up a small torch

"When I was a kid, I'd have a friend who'd take me away from home and we would go around, he's a good sneaking jackass that he had to lead me here!!" I said, that jackass friend was my past life self

"Here! In this castle!!"

"Y-yeah!!"

"Are you out of your mind, the palace guard might think you're a thief and kill you!!" A slap landed behind my head, I looked back with a torch in my hands

"Do you always have to slap like that?"

"I never do, but to you yes!!"

"Were not even close!!"

"We are now, and if someone catches us I'll tell that you kidnapped me!!" I felt pissed on her words but still have to keep up with calmness cos she's a princess and this is her home

I brought her inside a garden which she found familiar

"Hey, is this the back of my garden!!" She said looking around

"You good to go here now!!" I asked

"Yes, thank you!!" She bowed to me

"I'll take my leave now, and make sure my maid comes back safe!!" She stepped away but I pulled her hands

"What!"

"At least bring along a lamp!!" I reached for an old lamp up to a dusty wall and polished it with my cape.... After lighting it up she took it gladly in my hands

"Bye-Bye princess!!" I saw a hint of smile on her face before she stepped to her right and faded, the only image left is her shadow that's disappearing

I used the same route to get away and rode Valerian away from the castle, I didn't go home after but rather went to a locar Beer Bar and started drinking out my anger

Looking around, I found nobody familiar I know from my past life that I could befriend, I am looking for a guy named Baddie, his real name is brandon but he's one of my best friend, he's a thief whoi taught me lots of crap to move forward, during the time I was kicked out, I had the courage to step on a risk and be as I was to whom I have become

It was a bad act but saved me from people who tried to kill me, what I found unusual is how this place looks so new to my eyes

"Boy, you look so young to be drinking out here!!" A bartender rested on the counter, she's got a red hair and purple eyes looking like a young gal, she must be in her mid twenty's

"I'm on my age Aunty!!"

"Aunty, that's kinda rude dream traveller!!" I looked up to her

"What?"

"Hmm, you just awakened your power I see!!" Her purple eyes glowed as if studying me, the same way Hedley does

"Are you- a witch!!" I whispered

"It's obvious you piece of junk- my name is Madame Rosie and the owner of this bar!!" She smiled and offered me a drink, it's a rum which is this bar's specialty

"Madame Rosie, I'll remember that!"

"Your Aura is quite interesting, I felt your presence upstairs that I had to come down" I just looked at her and then frowned

"Your angry, which leaves you to come here? Do tell, I wanna feel distracted while trying to study you!!"

"Am I a subject to you magicians" I was pissed

"Well, if a high magicians and witches like us found an interesting subject, we can't help but follow it, we help them with their power and you young baby will help me with my knowledge to surpass my ability!- its a give and take..... You're a magician yourself, don't pretend!!" She smiled and slapped my face lightly

"I can't, I have to go back-"

"Are you a young master?" I sigh, I got up to leave

"Take this-" she pushed a red ruby on the table

"What's it for- I should be the one paying!!" I said

"Just take it!!"

"Not interested!!" I stepped away

"Oh- if I were you I'd take it time traveller!!" I froze before looking back in terror

"How-"

"I didn't know, I'm just simply guessing- give this ruby to your Magician Master!!! I'd like to meet him!!" She must be talking about Hedley, but how did she know?

I grabbed the ruby and stormed out, it's almost midnight and I forgot my duty

The guest were leaving when I arrived, I didn't go infront but rather met Gavin at the farm who took Valerian

*Your father is looking for you!!*

*Ok- thank you!!*

I went back to my place and saw dad on a couch, he's got so many letter on his hands

"You look rather busy!!"

"Klaus- where have you been for almost 2 hours!!"

"Bar-" I can't lie to him, his sense of smell is impressive

"You could have let me join you- wait, you go to the bar now!!" I chuckled and looked down on his letters

"Traveling so soon!"

"Temporary- for a week"

I sat down infront of him, he look so worried on all the letters

"What is it for?"

"Enemy attack on the walls, not an animal nor monsters but soldiers from another country!!" Has it started silent, that's why father dicided to give the title to Polly and not me in my past cos he was very busy and needed a healthier descendant

"Can I come?"

"No- goodness Klaus!!"

"What do you mean!!"

"I wanted you to come but you're still in training to become a knight, plus- your doctor said no!!" I sat down and pulled the letters, they are all hand written, one of the letter I touched, I felt the panick of the person so I pushed it away

"What's wrong?!"

"I felt them panicking, like someone is lurking on the bushes looking at them!!" I said, it's one of my abilities, Doctor Hedley has been studying me for a year and always told me that a decade is not enough to study my power

"How do you know Klaus!!"

"Ability dad, my Doctor has been studying me!!" I said

"Oh- what a wholesome ability, I can only wield a sword and feed it with my ability but I guess yours are better!!" He laughed

"I know, me too dad!!"
