Why are you sad?

The accident unfolded in the blink of an eye, leaving Diana in a state of shock. As she attempted to regain her composure and stand up, a familiar voice reached her ears.

"Are you alright?"

Diana turned around to find a figure standing behind her. It was someone she hadn't seen in a long time. With a mix of relief and disbelief, she managed to respond, "Yeah... Yeah, I'm fine."

Concern etched across his face, the person asked, "Are you hurt or something?"

Diana shook her head, assuring him, "No, I'm fine."

A wave of gratitude washed over her, mingled with the weight of guilt. She couldn't help but blurt out, "Thank goodness! Someone just died because of me, yet you still say that."

Confusion flashed in the person's eyes as he looked at her. "Didn't you get hit by a truck?"

Diana's gaze shifted, and she saw him standing before her, unscathed. Relief flooded her, and a small smile crept onto her face. "Oh... I thought..."

Interrupting her, he quipped, "What, did you think I'm dead or something?"

Huffing slightly, Diana retorted, "Hmph... It's not like I'm worried. I'm just not going to live a life of regrets."

"Very well then. I'll be on my way. Goodbye," he said, turning to leave.

With a mixture of emotions swirling inside her, Diana watched him walk away. He entered the mini-market and soon disappeared from sight. Left to ponder the encounter, she couldn't shake the feeling that this encounter held deeper significance.

Meanwhile, unbeknownst to Diana, the person who had saved her, Ginger, carried a secret. Death was not something he feared, for he possessed a unique ability to foresee his own demise, and at times, the deaths of others. Harnessing this power, he became a part of a secret agency, utilizing his abilities for the greater good. Even his own parents remained oblivious to his extraordinary gift, as he believed revealing it would only put them in harm's way.

Ginger returned to his room to find his brother engrossed in a mobile game.

"What took you so long?" his brother asked casually.

Ginger rolled his eyes. "I had an unlucky encounter with a bunch of nerds."

His brother raised an eyebrow, seemingly amused. "Is that so?"

Curiosity getting the better of him, Ginger asked, "When did you come back?"

"Not long after you left. I even saw you walking from..." his brother trailed off, interrupted by Ginger's phone ringing.

Ginger excused himself and stepped outside to take the call. His expression turned serious as he listened intently. It was another mission, a rescue operation, and he was to be paired with a partner.

"The location?" Ginger inquired.

"At the Grand Mall," came the response.

"I'll head there immediately," Ginger confirmed before ending the call.

Returning to his room, he relayed the news to his brother. "There's a rescue operation. I need your eyes. Meet me at the Grand Mall."

His brother's face lit up with excitement. "Can I bring my newly upgraded sniper rifle? I paid a lot to enhance the Scharfschütze."

Ginger nodded, a hint of a smile playing on his lips. "You can bring whatever you want, as long as it's for the mission."
