13 This is crazy.

"What do you mean?"

Carolinia and I were very confused. How are we supposed to help her? We aren't fairies. We're humans. We can't fly, at least not without an airplanes help. Even then neither of us are pilots. Please tell me this isn't one of those prophecy things.

"According to an old prophecy....." Rain began.

Annnnd there it was. Rain continued through the whole thing as Carolinia and I listened. Basically it said that when the kingdoms are in danger, heroes who are not what they seem will rise to defeat the enemy. This was beginning to sound like a fantasy novel.

"....That's why I think you two are those heroes. You're the only ones who can see me." Rain said excitedly.

We stared at her for a long time. Then at each other. Heroes? Us?

"You must have some mistake." Carolinia said nervously.

"Yeah. There's no way that we're the ones from that prophecy." I stated. But what if we were? That would be pretty awesome. I would get to see fairy kingdoms in real life! Something I daydreamed about frequently and got in trouble in class for.

Rain was getting desperate, telling us that it's true. That it's destiny that we met. I glanced at my friend. She seemed to be having almost the same brainstorm I was.

"Well." I said shrugging my shoulders. "It's worth a shot."
