Chapter 5: A Surprise Request
Sophia's mind was racing as she sat in her math class, her eyes fixed on her phone as she waited for Alexander's response. She had sent him a message, asking if he was busy tomorrow, and she was anxious to know his answer. She had been thinking about this moment for weeks, and she was determined to make it happen.
Finally, her phone buzzed, and she saw Alexander's reply. "No, why?" Sophia's heart skipped a beat as she typed out her response. She had been preparing for this moment, and she knew exactly what she wanted to say.
"I want you to accompany me tomorrow. I want something of my choice as a gift from you." She hesitated for a moment before sending the message. She knew it was a bold move, but she was tired of waiting for Alexander to make a move. She was taking matters into her own hands.
To her surprise, Alexander agreed. "Okay, tomorrow then." Sophia's mood improved slightly as she put her phone aside. She couldn't help but think, "Let's see how you ignore me this time, Alexander." She was determined to make him see her in a different light, to make him realize that she was the one for him.
Meanwhile, Alexander was in a meeting with his colleagues, his phone on silent mode. He had seen Sophia's message and replied, but he didn't think much of it. He was busy discussing a new project with his team and didn't have time to dwell on Sophia's request. He assumed it was just another one of her random messages, and he didn't think twice about it.
As soon as Sophia reached home, she ran to her mother and gave her a big hug. "Mom, I'm so happy!" she exclaimed. Her mother looked at her curiously, and Sophia couldn't help but share her news.
"Tomorrow, Alexander will accompany me as I want something from him as my birthday present." Her mother's face lit up, and she gave Sophia a warm smile.
"That's great, dear! I haven't seen Alexander for a long time. How is he?" Sophia grinned, feeling a sense of excitement.
"He's good and happy," she replied, already thinking about what she would wear the next day. She went to her room and rummaged through her wardrobe, finally deciding on a knee-length frock. She felt excited and nervous at the same time, wondering what Alexander would say when she asked him for her birthday gift.
Later that evening, Sophia texted her friend Emily. "Tomorrow, I asked Alexander to accompany me." Emily's response was immediate.
"Why suddenly?" Emily asked, curious. Sophia hesitated before replying.
"I don't know. I just followed my heart," she said. Emily understood, and Sophia could almost hear her friend's encouraging voice.
"Oh, I see. Then best wishes for tomorrow, Sophia. May everything go as planned." Sophia smiled, feeling a sense of hope. She was going to make sure that Alexander knew how she felt, and she was going to get what she wanted.
As she lay in bed that night, Sophia couldn't help but think about the next day. She had a plan, and she was going to see it through. She was going to make Alexander realize that she was the one for him, and she was going to get her birthday gift.
The next morning, Sophia woke up early, feeling excited and nervous. She got dressed in her knee-length frock and waited for Alexander to arrive. When he finally pulled up in his car, Sophia felt her heart skip a beat. She was ready for this, and she was going to make it happen.
As they drove to their destination, Sophia couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation. She knew what she wanted, and she was going to get it.
