Tap.
Tap.
Caw!
Tappity Tap.
Caw!
"Shut it up," Zara mumbled from under her covers.
Caw!
Tappity, tap, tap.
Luke groaned and started to fold back his blankets, "You owe me, Zara."
My son staggered to the window, much to the excitement of the bird outside.
"Caw, caw!"
"Hey, it's a crow," Luke yawned.
"Raven," I corrected. "I haven't seen this guy in a while. Give him some nuts from the bowl on the table."
Before Luke could move, Poe meekly appeared from beside the fireplace. Squinting in the morning light, she pulled the curtains back completely with a noticeable inhale.
I giggled, "Early morning, Poe?"
"Oh, my lady," Poe flinched at the memory of the night before. "It was all worth it."
