Gurren Lagann 2

11th Dimension

I watched the Galactic Spiral Abyss swallow the Super Galaxy Dai-Gurren, I watched them escape and destroy the Death Spiral Machine and I watched as they learned the truth about why Spiral beings had to be suppressed or even killed if necessary.

I waited for them to destroy the interference so that Simon could finally see her but the moment he saw her, I emerged.

Simon Pov

The words of the Anti-Spiral shocked me. Was it really true that we Spiral beings were going to be the reason for the end of the universe? I didn't want to believe it but my instincts told me that it was true.

I need to get stronger to save Nia but that would cause the Universe to be destroyed.

Lordgenome's words brought me back to my senses. He was right, right now Nia needed me, I could save her and the Universe.

I could feel my newfound determination spurn the growth of my Spiral power and immediately poured all that power into the Super Galaxy Dai-Gurren and destroyed all our enemies in one attack.

We did it!

The interference that stopped us from warping and finding Nia's location disappeared and I immediately started to feel for Nia's location through her ring.

After a few seconds of searching, I finally saw her again. She didn't look hurt but before I could open a warp portal to her, something happened.

The space behind her shattered like glass and a giant grey hand emerged from it and wrapped itself around Nia's helpless body. Before I could even understand what was happening, the hand clenched and Nia exploded into blood and red paste.

My mind stopped working for a second before it understood what just happened.

''MIA!''

Zerr'on Pov

I watched Simon and his crew's expression when I crushed Nia with glee and schadenfreude. The look of despair, hopelessness, and rage on their faces was just delicious.

After killing Nia, I entered reality with the rest of my body for the first time in a while, I was able to minimize the damage to reality for a few minutes to just a few million km.

I swiftly absorbed Nia's very existence through my hand, making it impossible to revive her, and added her Spiral power to my NE. I didn't have time to inspect the changes it brought because I now had a black and white silhouette looking at me confused and conflicted, not caring about Nia's death in the slightest and more concerned about who I was, how it didn't know of me and most importantly if I was a threat to the universe.

''Who are you?''

''Me? Just someone from outside your reality who decided to help you out a bit''

''Help me? How and why?'' it was only getting more confusing. Why would a random being just decide to help it

''You were planning on imprisoning them in the Multiverse Labyrinth, didn't you? What makes you think that it's a good idea to imprison beings that grow stronger according to their willpower in a trap that forces them to live infinite lives?''

That made it think for a moment. ''But it's impossible to escape from the infinite multiverse''

''Nothing is impossible and there is always a first time for everything. If they managed to escape it, and I can promise you they would, you would have a big problem. Next time just kill them''

It seemed to understand my reasoning but didn't like how I just proposed to kill them

''But if I were to kill all spiral beings, there would be no life left in the Universe and what purpose would the universe hold them?''

''Life doesn't exist to appreciate the universe and it has no privilege that allows it to even exist, not to mention plunder and destroy its universe. But if you really feel that way, I might be able to help you. Although life has no purpose and is just a byproduct of the universe, it will always exist alongside it somewhere in the infinite realities.''

''You can help me? How and why would you?''

''Your reality has laws that give any being with DNA the ability to produce Spiral power and continue evolving, I can get rid of these laws for you or just place a limit on how much this spiral power can grow in a single individual. As for why, let's just say I'm doing it for my own gain and to gain a possible friend''

''A friend…'' It seemed to seriously think about this for a bit ''I would be very grateful if you stopped the universe from generating Spiral power but I'm not sure if I can become your friend. I'm the combination of countless minds with the sole purpose of maintaining the universe, I do not know what will happen to me once I fulfill my purpose of existence''

''Bah, small thing as well. I can just fuse the countless minds in you into one, making you a single being and lifting the restrictions they have on you''

''That sounds nice, I would love to explore the outside of my universe and see other realities'' That made sense, it should be able to easily leave its reality but it remained here because of its duty. Having a travel body didn't sound so bad but let's hold on with inviting him into my house, for now, I don't want to come on too strong ''but what about them?''

I followed the direction it was looking at and saw the devasted crew now spike in spiral energy due to their rage and infusing it into their giant mecha-robot, whatever you wanted to call it, I was never a fan of things like mecha, cars, and guns.

''What about them?''

''Are you just going to leave them be? If you remove the spiral power from the entire reality they would be trapped in their Gurren Lagann and be forced to float in space until they died''

''So? I don't see your point, if you want to save them just do it and warp them to some habitable planet, if you don't, don't. They came here knowing the possibility of death but still came, you aren't their babysitter''

It still looked a bit conflicted as it still held life in high regard. Preventing more life from being born wasn't a problem for it but outright killing it was different in its mind.

''While you decide what to do with them, I will start destroying the spiral law without damaging any other law, this might take a while''

''How long will it take? I don't think the universe can withstand your presence for much longer, could you please stop doing that?''

''I would. Smartass, but I don't know how. Now that you mention it, you should also have such a presence and have the same problem, why don't you?''

''I learned to control my presence a long time ago, I can teach you if you want, it would make your stay here a lot easier''

Wow, didn't expect I would learn to go back to having a presence so soon and being able to enter realities without destroying them.

''That would actually be very helpful. I have been looking for a way to solve that problem for a while now and was starting to worry I was going to ask other Outer beings for advice and they definitely wouldn't hold back when it comes to asking me to pay back this favor.''

''Then let's do this before changing the entire reality, it shouldn't take too long, I am very confident in my teaching abilities''
