CHAPTER 30: DEFECTIVE VAMPIRES AND ARCHAIC BEAST

Wallace looked at the middle-aged woman in front of him who wanted to take him in as a godson. He felt grateful to her for taking him as a godson. At least with her strength, he would have no need to worry about doing certain things, coupled with his strength that was steadily rising and couldn't be measured by his cultivation time. He would have another layer of protection. With her, purchasing things would also be far easier because there were some things that couldn't be purchased with money. Finally, when he reached the mage academy, he would have a powerful teacher. He smiled as he knelt down.

"I accept you as my godmother," he said.

"Rise up," she said as she held his hand and brought him up. At the same time, he felt light and wood energy gush into his body before they disappeared, and the mark of an angel appeared on his arm before quickly fading.

"What's that?" he asked.

"I just infused the Guardian Angel, a mage skill that's been with me since I broke through to Supreme Magus. It's like having another life; once it is fully triggered, it can block a full strike attack from a Supreme Magus like me and three attacks for people with Magus strength. I can only use the skill three times in my life" she said.

His eyes widened when he heard what she said. This meant it was almost an undying mark as long as he was careful. Originally, with his strength and his spatial teleportation that could increase in distance as he continued to advance, his chance of dying was low if he did not antagonize a rank sixty Magico or above, but with this, he didn't need to worry about a Magico attacking him. He smiled as he looked at her gratefully.

"Thank you, mother," he said.

"There's no problem about it; it's just using up a bit of my life energy," she said as she stroked his head.

"About the mental energy, can you tell me more?" he asked.

"The mental energy is also known as spiritual force, and we've developed a special machine for it. It has four stages. A mental energy starting from one to five hundred is nothing, and it is within this range that most people who just awakened their mage root are usually within. From five hundred and one to five thousand is called the Psyche Beginner. This stage is required to break through to the Magico realm, and also where most mental elemental mages that just awakened are usually within. From five thousand and one to fifty thousand is called the Psyche Domain Realm, where the spiritual force will form a domain of their own. At this stage, mental energy can be extended outward to form the domain of special elements where a mage has absolute control, and this stage is required to be able to break through to the Magus realm. From fifty thousand and one to five million is called the Psyche Overlord Realm. This is where the life palace connects with the psyche domain, and elemental imprints are formed, which in turn gradually implant themselves into the vortex and allow the mage to form an elemental core. This stage is required to break through to the Supreme Magus realm. Above that is the elusive Soul stage, and no one has ever reached that stage. We are not even sure if it exists," Samantha explained to him.

"What stage is your mental energy?" she asked him.

"I'm a Psyche Beginner," he answered.

"It's nothing surprising, with your talent you'll be able to reach the Magico realm in at most two years, so having a bit of mental energy is required," she said.

"Let's go to the training room to test your various attributes, then I'll instruct you in the beginner magic ability in the two weeks that I'll be here," she said.

"Hey," he called out in his mind as Lucy was still preparing.

"Hmm," the voice answered.

"You've been there all these days," He said.

"Yes, I'm just too lazy to talk to you," The voice answered.

He smiled helplessly. "Can you explain more about the vampire race to me?" he asked.

"Those people are just clowns that are calling themselves the perfected human race. You are countless times more perfected than them, even though you've not been perfected yet. They don't have the primal race energy, which is a catalyst, so if they try to break through their genes themselves, they will die," The voice answered.

"How do they come about then?" he asked.

"Humph, they are just some people that used the little special genes from magical beasts to strengthen their gene and just touch the pathway leading to the door to the evolution of their perfect gene, so they become beings that depend on the blood of humans because they are far more defective than humans, even though they are stronger. They became far more defective to the extent that they need human blood to hold them together," The voice answered.

"But they have the mysterious blood magic that mother talked about," he said.

"Humph, what stupid blood energy. They lost their elemental affinity, and they finally started to use blood skills, which is drawn from their own blood. They cannot even control outside their blood," The voice said.

"They are worse than humans, and the highest they can reach is being stronger than a rank 99 Supreme Magus amongst mages physically, they can never reach the Divine Realm," The voice explained.

"How many people above rank 96 are there on the planet?" he asked.

"There should be around two rank 97 mages in the empire, and your godmother is a rank 96 mage closer to breaking through to rank 97. Apart from here, the other four are below rank 96. There are entities above rank 99 but I can't pinpoint them" The voice answered.

"What!!!" He exclaimed

"It's not surprising, in the universe rank 91 to 99 are just called mortal realm, it's just a stage of body and energy cultivation. There's still tons of law cultivation and universal force cultivation stage" box answered

"Tell me more" He asked

"You're biting more than you can chew" the latter answered

"Vampires in the universe are worst than slaves because they can't go past the mortal stage, the universe has forsaken them" he said

"They are still strong on this planet," he answered.

"They are strong, but if they want to take over this planet, it's just a pipe dream for them," The voice answered.

"The real threat is those otherworldly beings that I don't know about," The voice answered.

"Hmm, okay," He answered.

"You should also try your best to undergo a second evolution as soon as possible, by then you become perfected, so you can take your time for other evolution in the future," The voice told him.

"Hmm, where do I need to reach to undergo the second evolution?" he asked.

"Rank 20 for the second, rank 40 for the third, rank 80 for the fourth, and rank 160 for the fifth," The voice answered.

He broke into a cold sweat when he learned about how much he would need for the future. He could still manage rank 40, but rank 80, the required blood essence in the latter stage would be terrifying, and finally rank 160. He just took his mind off it; he would try to cross the chasm when he reached there. For now, he should only be worrying about his second evolution.

He, Samantha, and Lucy left the second room. They soon reached the training room, and the training apparatus was brought out for him. The first is the strength test.

"Hu" He breathed in and out three times before he gathered all his strength into his right fist and punched out. Then, "Bang" The machine shook, and the numbers on the panel quickly interchanged. The final result made Lucy and Samantha's face widen.

His mouth also twitched at the amount of force he generated. "One thousand two hundred kg."

"The force of your body is one thousand two hundred kg; are you still human? How the hell can such force be packed in a ten-year-old body?" Lucy's mouth twitched as she quickly asked the question one after the other.

"That's almost comparable to archaic magical beasts' infant that are still in rank one," Samantha said.

"What is archaic magical beasts?" He asked.

"There are normal magical beasts and archaic magical beasts. The normal magical beasts are magical beasts that cannot use elements directly but infuse it into their body. They don't have intelligence. Human Magico rank 30 can kill a rank 1 magical beast. We can use magic to directly kill them. A rank two beast can be killed by human Magico rank 60. A rank three beast can be killed by human Magus rank 70. A rank 4 beast can be killed by human Magus rank 80. A rank 5 beast can be killed by human Magus rank 90. Rank 6 can be killed by human Magus rank 91 and so on till it reach rank 10 which can be killed by human Magus rank 95. We still have rank 96 and two rank 97 Supreme Magus in our empire," Lucy explained.

"This makes us have an edge over magical beasts."

"But archaic beasts are legends. They have supreme physical strength and ability to cast elements at the same time. They are simply too overpowered. An archaic beast rank 1 can only be killed by human mage rank 40, and they are the weakest among archaic beasts. Rank 2 can only be killed by 70 Magus. Rank 3 can only be killed by rank 90 Magus till they reach rank 12 which is far stronger than our human can reach," She told him.

His eyes widened when he heard that.

"Their strength is not the most terrifying thing about them, what's the most terrifying about them is that unlike magical beasts that kill each other to evolve, an archaic beast can only be given birth to by an archaic beast, which makes the bloodline in them dense. Every beast can reach rank 5 and they can take human form. This means that every archaic beast has the potential to reach rank 91 if they don't die. I mean every archaic beast will reach rank 91 according to human standard if they don't die," Lucy said.
