Round one (first half)

Doji: "I offer my sincerest appreciation for gathering here on this most historic day. I congratulate these Bladers for earning 50,000 Bey points to make it here. Very impressive! No matter who battles whom, one thing we know for sure is it'll be a very exciting competition. The guy is unbelievable. Without further ado, let us look at the pairings, of course, randomly selected."

Sirius: "Randomly? Yeah, right. Who are you kidding, yourself?"

Gingka: "Looks like my opponent in the first round is Yu."

Yu: "Good, battling Gingka first thing. It's gonna be fun."

Benkei: "I will be battling Captain Capri, bu bu bull."

To which Captain Capri just gave him a smug look.

Kenta: "Don't tell me I've got the crabby guy."

Hikaru: "I'm facing Ryuga right away."

Kyoya: "You've got to be kidding me. These battles aren't random; almost all of them are from Dark Nebula."

Sirius: "Isn't Tsubasa also part of the Dark Nebula?"

Kenta: "No, Tsubasa is a secret agent from WBBC."

I look at him.

Sirius: "If you know about it, does that mean it's even a secret at all? So, what is Doji cooking here? Well, whatever, I will see when I get there."

Tsubasa looked at me and said, "The tournament is being controlled by Doji, which is what I wanted."

Sirius: "Is he serious or is he just talking to himself?"

Tsubasa just gave me an annoyed look.

Gingka: "You're right. This is a chance for us to take down Dark Nebula members at once, and in the end, we will defeat Ryuga."

Announcer: "The first battle will be Bu Bu Benkei versus Captain Capri."

Doji: "Now let Battleblader begin."

Announcer: "The very first match-up of the day, we have Benkei with his battling Bey, Dark Bull. Oh yeah!"

Benkei: "Let's do this. The Captain is going down with this ship, bu bu bull."

Announcer: "His opponent, he's the straight shooter, Captain Capri."

Doji: "Ha ha ha. So then, now it finally begins. The tournament set up for Ryuga and L Drago. Victory can be so satisfying. And what surprised me, a Bey other than Ryuga, which is left spin, but to me, who knows about L Drago, it just seemed like a cheap copy of L Drago."

Announcer: "Alright, ready?"

Captain Capri: "All right, mission green light five seven nine, and adjust angle twenty."

Benkei: "Okay, Bull, time to charge."

Three, two, one, let it rip!

Both Beys were launched into the Bey stadium, but Capricorn started to jump up and down, attacking Dark Bull in an unpredictable pattern, almost leaving Dark Bull at its mercy. Until now, Dark Bull was struggling.

Captain Capri: "It's gonna be fun. Time to get rid of the Bull."

Capricorn started to attack Dark Bull with a new fury, as a phantom of a Capricorn started to jump around the corner of the stadium.

Benkei: "Bu bu bull, hang in there!"

As Dark Bull desperately tried to avoid Capricorn's attacks, it dodged an attack and went in for a hit. Both Beys collided, creating sparks between them and backing off a bit.

Captain Capri: "Now, special move, Capricorn! Spin Screwdriver!"

As Capricorn sent itself into the air, a phantom of Capricorn covered in red twisted winds.

Benkei: "Thanks for doing me a favor."

Captain Capri: "Huh? What do you mean?"

Benkei: "When Capricorn uses its special move, the only time you can predict where it's going to charge in. And now, Dark Bull's special move, Dark Bull Uppercut!"

A phantom of Dark Bull came charging and collided head-on with Capricorn, locking horns. Dark Bull lowered its head, sending Capricorn off the stadium.

Announcer: "The first match goes to Bu Bu Benkei!"

Benkei: "Bu bu bu Bull!"

Doji: "Oh, losing stinks. Not that I know anything about it."

Announcer: "Well, things are just cranking up here, folks."

The second match was between Kyoya and that Komasukai guy. I mean the Benkei rip-off, which went like this:

Kyoya: "Here I go, Lion Gale Force Wall!"

As the Bey was sent flying, the Benkei rip-off was acting a little bit suspiciously there.

Kyoya: "That was too easy."

That is how the second match went. The next match was between Gingka and Yu.

Announcer: "So now, the third battle will now begin."

Ready, three, two, one, let it rip!

Both Beys were launched, crossing each other in the air and racing around each other. Libra started with the first attack, hitting Pegasus, but Pegasus struck back, generating sparks between them and dragging Libra across the field.

Yu: "Oh boy, your power is as ever, Gingka. But you don't think it's enough to beat me."

At that, Libra came back a bit and struck back with full power, sending Pegasus flying up in the air.

Yu: "Huh, it's over already?"

Gingka: "It's not over yet, Pegasus! Star Blade Attack!"

In the air, a phantom of a Pegasus appeared, diving down.

Yu: "Of course, that's what you're doing. But have you forgotten that move doesn't work on me? That's just sad. Libra! Sonic Shield!"

To which Libra started vibrating, producing a sonic wave on the surface of the stadium. When a Pegasus covered in a blue aura struck Libra, Pegasus got knocked off to some distance.

Gingka: "Oh yeah? Then how about this, Pegasus? Tornado Wing!"

As Pegasus started to move around Libra in a circle, making a twister all around Libra.

Yu: "Ha ha ha, it's no use with that level of attack. Libra's Eternal Sharp performance tip won't even budge an inch."

Gingka gritted his teeth.

Gingka: "Libra is awfully good."

Yu: "Now it's my turn, Libra!"

To which Libra produced a shockwave that got rid of the twister in a split second.

Yu: "That's nothing. Watch this, Libra. Sonic Wave!"

Producing a slash toward Pegasus, which Pegasus dodged. But the attack did not stop there as the barrage of slashes continued. In the end, with no way to dodge, Pegasus jumped up in the air, landed close to Libra, and without any wait, started attacking Libra, igniting sparks between them.

Gingka: "I am not going to lose until I beat Ryuga."

Yu: "You're dreaming. You gotta defeat me first, Libra. Sonic Blaster!"

Raising a dust storm and again start releasing slashes, this time hitting Pegasus as Yu was able to see Pegasus's position in the swirling dust storm.

Yu: "Boom, boom, boom!"

As slashes continued to hit Pegasus, producing blinding light.

Doji: "That's quite the battle."

Yu: "It's over, Gingka. You try hard."

But to his surprise, Pegasus was still spinning even after being hit by a supersonic blast. Before the sonic wave could hit, Pegasus surrounded itself in a vacuum.

Gingka: "Now it's my turn!"

As Pegasus started hitting Libra, igniting sparks, Libra still stood strong and also struck back, making Pegasus back off a bit. But Pegasus again started to collide with Libra.

Yu: "I don't have all day for this. Libra, special move: Infernal Blast!"

As a pillar of green light rose to the sky, but before it could hit Pegasus.

Gingka: "Pegasus, special move: Star Bringer!"

As a phantom of Pegasus shook off its wings and ran straight into Libra, there was a huge boom that lasted for a full minute. But the silence only remained. Then the sound of Libra collided with the ground as it had already stopped spinning.

Yu: "Libra, no!"

Announcer: "We have a winner, and it is Gingka."

As Gingka called back Pegasus to his hand, after which Gingka talked to Yu, and both of them shook hands.

Doji: "This is the end of Yu. After all, he was never included in the plans for the future of Dark Nebula."

Then he turned around toward a shaded-looking guy in the background and spoke.

Doji: "Let's just show Gingka and his friend how nasty we can be, shall we?"

And started laughing like crazy.
