Gingka vs Phoenix

Three months had passed, and I still hadn't made it to the Bey Coliseum. In my defense, I was busy shopping for different Bey parts, some of which were hard to come by, even in the dark market. I swapped out the Bey performance tip with a rubber one for better absorption of attacks and increased speed. While I made some more changes for better performance, they weren't significant.

Currently, I was on my way to the Bey Coliseum. You might be wondering if I sleep there at night; well, no, it's too cold. I usually stay in a hotel. As I reached the coliseum, I could hear the sounds of battle. Gingka was already engaged in a battle with someone wearing a mask. Hmm, isn't he Phoenix? It hadn't been long since the battle started

, so I walked straight to my seat, dangling my legs, and started eating popcorn. The other cast members gave me strange looks, but I ignored them, enjoying the show and collecting data simultaneously.

(Third-party POV)

Both Beys collided, creating a distance between them. Pegasus collided with Phoenix once again.

Phoenix: "We are not done here. Burn, [Burn Fire Blaze]!"

A phantom of a phoenix bird, coated in bright red flame, appeared and swiftly hit Pegasus, creating a bright flash of light. Pegasus hit the wall but continued spinning.

Gingka: "Pegasus!"

Pegasus began running along the wall of the stage, circling the field.

Gingka: "Special move, Pegasus! [Star Bringer]!"

Phoenix chased after Pegasus, hitting it and sending it back to the ground, canceling its special move.

Phoenix: "What's wrong? You can't land a special move like that. [Burn Fire Blaze]!"

Phoenix sent Pegasus flying through the wall once again.

Phoenix: "It seems it's time for you to quit for good this time. You swore that you wouldn't lose to anyone, putting pressure on yourself to become a Battle Blader. I'll make it easy for you."

Gingka: "Go, Pegasus!"

Pegasus attempted to attack but got stuck on the ground.

Phoenix: "It's over. [Fire Blaze Burning Fire Strike]!"

A phantom of a phoenix dove down from the sky with full force, colliding and creating a huge pillar of fire.

Gingka: "This is not the end. I can still win!"

Pegasus continued spinning and attacked Phoenix back to back, forcing it to back off. A phantom of Pegasus appeared in the sky.

Gingka: "Special move, Pegasus! [Star Blade Attack]!"

The move collided with Phoenix's attack, but Phoenix canceled Pegasus' special move.

Phoenix: "[Burning Fire Blazing Strike]!"

Gingka: "I've been waiting for this!"

Gingka launched Pegasus into a circle, creating a blue vortex, damaging Phoenix. As Phoenix fell to the ground, Pegasus struck it, sending it flying through the wall and destroying half of the coliseum. As the dust settled, only Pegasus remained spinning.

(After the battle) Gingka's friends came down to celebrate, and Phoenix transferred the points to Gingka. Even Kyoya was there, along with another dude with long white hair. I made eye contact with Phoenix, giving him a nod, though he had beaten me once before.

Later, I was eating cup noodles when Kyoya approached me.

Kyoya: "So, did you end up getting the 50,000 points for the Battle Blader?"

I showed him my points, and he nodded.

Kyoya: "Well, I guess I'll be seeing you there. You better not lose because I'm going to beat you and Gingka and win this whole thing."

Sirius: "Don't forget about Ryuga, who is leagues above us at the moment. It'll be fun to watch."

Kyoya scoffed and walked away, leaving me behind.

Some time later, at the Bey Stadium, the announcer began speaking, introducing the 16 Bladers who had made their way through the challenge. They were set to battle for the right to claim victory in the country's biggest competition.

The spotlight shifted to Doji, who started with his creepy third-rate villain laugh and old speech. I zoned out as the matchups were displayed on the screen

Gingka vs. Yu, Bankai vs. some scrapy head, Kenta vs. Crab Guy, the long-haired dude vs. me, Ryuga vs. Hikaru, Kyoya vs. the Bankai rip-off, and a dude with makeup, who reminded me of Hisoka from HunterXHunter, vs. a dude with golden hair
