Chapter nineteen: learning again

As I sit here finally being able to move walk and do normal things again I pack my stuff and head back to our new base just knowing that we are gonna have to re-recruit more people since the attack. I hop back in the Jeep and drive to the spot I am greeted by a surprise of all my troop mates standing in military form out front as I tell them all " it's good to be back " they informed me that I will be up for a Purple Heart. I look back at them in shock that I am up to receiving one but I don't think I deserve one for what took place they all disagreed with me on that and said " it was a great sacrifice you took with that SS officer in the cell we did more research on him as well sir " as they walk with me to my office. " There's more dirt on him then you think " good I say in reply use it against him " . They show me files after files of stuff that he did and his war criminal records even our biggest guy couldn't pick up his file papers were coming out on the sides " well he's dead now so we are all good on that " I say as one of my closest friend looks up at me " yeah...I killed him as soon as you were taken by the medics ".
