Chapter 36: Taking Control
“That’s quite enough out of all of you,” she says firmly without wavering. “Last week you stayed silent when your Alpha announced he would banish Lana for her digressions. Where were your voices then?”
The pack grows silent, looking at the Alpha for direction. Blake doesn’t move, he just watches Autumn in awe as she takes control of the situation.
“You have no right to speak to us in such a manner,” one of the older shifters says while moving closer to Autumn.
She doesn’t back down or cower away. Autumn stands tall and asserts her dominance for the first time in her life. She let Dustin push her around causing her self-esteem to take a hit. No more. With Blake by her side, she feels confidence coursing through her. His support means so much.
Jazz steps between Autumn and the accusing pack. “Actually, she does have the right. Autumn is the Alpha’s mate, and you will respect her as such,” the Beta demands with a growl.
