Knowing who he is...

   The next morning, Jonie decided not to go to school but to wait and ask his father some questions he don't understand or found no meaning in it.

He pretended to be sick and then told his Mother that he couldn't go to school that day so he want his father to take care of him at home. Being a pretended-good mother, she allowed him to have some rest then she went off to work.

When Jonie realized that his mother was gone, he quickly went downstairs to talk to his father but unfortunately for him his father wasn't there.

   " Dad, dad where are you?".  Jonie proceeded to look for his dad.

   His dad was speaking with a man in his room while he was also busy looking around for him.

   " You don't understand Roy, Jonie is a different type of supernatural being, normal supernatural children get their powers immediately they are born but Jonie is different".

  The man explained.

" But I hope he won't be dangerous ". Jonie's father said in a worried tone.

  " If his bad side can be caged then he is okay".

The man said.

    " His bad side ".

His father asked with a confused face.

   " Yes, I need to study his powers as it develops so that I can confirm my doubt".

   " Nana tell me how..". His father Roy was very much sad to know Jonie's bad side in other to cage it himself.

His real father was a demon. Nana was also a supernatural being who saw Jonie's dream last night and had come to inform his earthly father before it gets out of hand.

   " Daddy!". Jonie yelled from outside which interrupted them. The man bowed and disappeared before Jonie opened the door to his father's room.

   " Good morning dad". Jonie said, while looking nervously at his father.

   " Morning my dear, I heard from your mother that you aren't feeling well today won't you like to take more rest?". His father said while pretending to be looking for something and secretly avoiding his gaze.

   " Dad I'm alright nothing is wrong with me I just want answers to something ". He said and asked his father to sit down and he also sat down.

   " What do you want answers to?". He said and turned to look at him.

   " Dad you won't believe what happened to me around noon this morning ..". He said while looking as if heaven was about to fall.

  " What happened to you?".

" My eyes turned red as blood and in a minute later, there was a fire flame burning in it and I also felt like I was floating in the air and just then all the lights in this house went off". He said describing what happened to him that noon to his father and he gasped.

  " Your eyes turned red as blood and fire flames begin to burn in them!". His father said with a pretending look.

   " Yes dad you have to believe me, it was soo real that I thought I was some kind of supernatural being!"

   " Really!". His father smirked.

" Yes, it made all the lights in this house went off that instant ".

  His father looked at him for some time and then begins to tell him something.

    "Jonie ". He tapped on his back and looked straight into his eyes.

  "Yes, dad". He replied.

"I think it's time to tell you the truth". His father said and bowed his head.

   Jonie was confused.  "What truth?". Jonie said.

"The truth of who you are".

  "Okay tell me I'm listening..".

"Jonie do you believe supernatural powers exist " 

  Jonie blinked. "Supernatural?". he asked and his father nobbed

  "I don't think that they exist, I have only watched them in movies and read about them in novels ".

   "But they exist and you are one of them, Jonie! ".  His father said yelling as if someone was forcing him to tell him.

   Jonie burst into laughter ". You are kidding me right". He observed his father's expression and stopped laughing.

   "Oh! You are serious".

"Of course I am Jonie".

   "Are you a supernatural too dad"? Jonie asked.

"I'm a human but I have supernatural powers too. I'm sorry for not telling you all this ". His father said.

    Jonie stood up and paced around the room.  " I not getting it dad..this is ridiculous dad. I had a strange dream before all this happened..but I don't believe it".

   He said while he placed his hands on his chin.

"Okay, Jonie do you want proof". His father asked and he nobbed.

His father stood up and took in a deep breath. He then closed his eyes for some time and immediately he opened them, fire has already surrounding him and his eyes were in flames.

  Jonie's mouth dropped open and gasped.

"Do you believe me now"?  His dad asked.

    "Yes, yes I believe you now please can you turn back to your normal self". He said pleading.

    "Don't you wanna see all my powers?". His father teased.

   "I will like to see it later but not now ". He said and walked back to his dad and touched him to see if he was burning or if he got burnt.

  His father chuckled, everything disappeared and returned to normal.

  Jonie was over the moon.  "So dad you mean I can do what you just did and more?".

  He asked.

"Of course ".

"This is awesome, I have always wanted superpowers. OMG I'm Soo happy I wish I could fly ". Immediately he said that, he started floating in the air.  He begins to exclaim.

    "Dad am I flying! ". He said and shouted

"Yes.. you are sweetie, your powers work with your thoughts". He answered him.

"Wait are you trying to tell me that whenever I thought of something I can do it ". He asked.

  "Probably ".

       Jonie shrieked in happiness and hit his head on the ceiling.

   "Ouch, I think I will come down".  just when he said that he flew down. He didn't land steadily and ended up hitting his butt on the floor.

  "Ouch!". He exclaimed again.

"Wow, Jonie you are finally getting your powers, I'm so happy for you..but there is something I need to tell you".

    "What is it, dad?".

"Come and sit down". He pulled him to sit down with him.

   "Dad please I need to ask you a question. Where are my real parents?".

  Jonie said and made a serious face.

"That is what I'm about to tell you Jonie...hmmm..is a long story but I have to tell you anyway". He said then walked to his cupboard and brought out a picture of a very beautiful woman and handle it to Jonie.

   "She is the woman I saw in my dreams this morning and ..and they killed her". He said in a sad and lower tone.

    "What happened to her dad who kill her?". He said and attacked his father's neck with both hands.

   "Co..me.. down my dear..I..am about to tell you please". His father pleaded with him and he let him go.

   " Thanks my dear". He said and Jonie took the picture from his hands.

   " Hmmm...my dear when you're born, you were born as a human being with very bad supernatural powers as that of your dad. So your mom didn't want the pure supernatural beings to see you or to get close to you for they will have killed you that instant so..".

   "No I'm not listening again.. because I was a human and was with a bad spirit she threw me away.. no wonder they kill her".

   "No, my dear don't say that please she loves you more than your dad ... that is why she hides you from those angles.. please".

" They abandoned me ". Jonie shouted, becoming moody at that instant.

   "No dear, please they love you that is why they brought you to the human world..to me dear".

  His father said trying to calm his beast down.

"No dad that is not true..". Tears streamed down his cheeks and it begins to rain outside.

   "They were ashamed of me right"

"No, they only wanted you to be among your kind"

His father tried touching him but forcefield had already surrounded him.

   "If they love me, they will have come to see me. For good 18 years I haven't set my eyes on them before..not even once..I hate them already". He said and rushed out of the room and run to his room upstairs in anger.

Just then thunder struck followed by lightning.

   "Oh, No!". His father exclaimed and followed him upstairs but he had already entered his room and shut it behind. He lay in his bed shedding tears.

    "Jonie please let me in". His father said while hitting the door.

   "No I don't want to see anyone now please leave". He replied from inside his room.

   "Jonie please your tears are causing storms outside please ". His father said in a worried tone.

   "What do you mean". He sniffled.

"Please can you let me in"? His father requested.

There was a silence for a while before the door opened by itself and he entered. He walked over to his bed and sat down. he patted the side of the bed and asked Jonie to sit down. Jonie hesitant before sitting down.

   "Jonie". He called softly.

"Yes, dad". Jonie said.

      "You know how much I love you, right?". He said and Jonie nodded.

   "And you know I will never lie to you, right? ". His father said while trying to look him in the eye.

  "Yes". He answered.

" I know how you feel dear, and I'm aware of how you have to pretend to be alright with your earthly mother's behavior. I know you have already seen how wicked she is. But the supernatural world is too dangerous for you Jonie.. even this world we live in is dangerous,

it can never be compared to the realms. Just see how wicked your earthly mother is, then how much more will it be in the supernatural realms .. just tell me how much.. and that is why your parents send you to me when your..your earthly mother kill your mother just to use you for an excuse..".

    "what...wait you mean my mother Peggy.. killed my real mom and took me away from her just for her excuses like how?".

   " Hmm..my dear, you see your mother Peggy lied about being the real heir of the Jones family and was taken to court.

There she couldn't define herself and she was jailed. After she was jailed, she didn't know her next move or what to do so she decided to sleep with the head of the prisoner so that she will get the chance to get out of the prison.

      She didn't succeed in doing that so she forced herself on him one day and someone caught them in the act, the blame was given to the head of the prisoner.

Some months later she came back and told them that she was pregnant with him and for that, they have to let her leave the prison and go home to deliver her baby then she will come back.

     Nine months later, she went to orphanage after orphanage looking for a newborn baby to adopt but she never got one. One day, when she was passing by a house, she heard a woman screaming and shouting because she was in labor.

     She kept on monitoring the woman till she gave birth. After she gave birth, the woman try to walk out of the room to find a perfect place for herself and her baby.

that was when Peggy came and told her that she can take care of her and her baby. But because the woman has powers, she saw that it was a lie she was lying just to have her baby. The woman didn't mind her and went on her way.

   That was when Peggy pretended to be crying and saying all sorts of sad words to get her attention. And just when the woman bowed to talk to her, they shot her from the back and she fell to the ground without saying a word. then she took the baby away.

she was taken from the jailed after she went to show the baby to the prisoners as proof of what the head did to her.

      When your real father saw that, he brought me to this place to look after you. So I came as a husband for Peggy just to take care of you...your mother gave birth to you in this world because she saw that you are a human being with a poor spirit and she didn't want your dad to train you or else you will also be wicked but see what happened, it turns the other way round...your mother dead just to protect you because she loves you".

   "Really ". He had calmed down and the storming had also subdued.

   " Yes, my dear". His father said.

" So that Peggy is the reason behind all this!".

  He shouted causing the house to shake.

     " My dear is okay.. take your time ".

" I'm soo angry right now!! ".

    " I can see for the thunderstorm has already started speaking in the air ". His father said with a funny voice.

   " But my dear calm down okay.. anyway will you like to have some taste of my cake".

   " Wow, dad ..you made a cake for me".

" Of course my dear".

    " Let go and have some..I will deal with that witch later". He said and giggled darkly.

   The weather returned to normal and the sun shone more lovable than before. his father looked outside and sighed at the change in weather. He needs to teach him how to control his powers or else the neighbors will never have peace.  He went after him to the kitchen.
