Chapter 34

Sweats covered her face as her breathing became heavy,she felt her soul being reap apart.

Fragments of her memory flashed through her mind making her gasp in pain,who was she and why were they showing her in her dream.

Did she know her and from where,she groaned as she turned around trying to wake up,shouts could be heard before she opened her eyes.

"Are you alright",her aunty asked as she gave her a glass of water,Myra rubbed her aching head with a frown.

This has never happened before and she didn't understand why her dream would be about someone,she knew nothing about.

She stared at her aunty's question eyes before saying,"just dreamt of a strange girl",there was surprise written on her face but that was all she said.

She got down from the bed before walking into the bathroom,she texted Brina before turning on the shower,she needed to cool down her mind before anything else.

Xander went through the files again hoping that what he was seeing was true,pain was seen in his eyes as he dropped the files.

Was she really going to get married,didn't their encounter mean anything to her,he laughed bitterly before getting up for a drink.

She wasn't what thinking of if she didn't care about their little outing,he sighed as he wished her good luck before downing the wine in the glass.

He thought back to the time she joined their school,she was always the shy type that needed protection,she was always like a shadow hiding to never be caught.

That fateful day,he brought her out of her shell making her see the world from a different perspective but he took it all wrongly,tears rolled down his cheeks as he kept on drinking.

"What made this my best friend cry this way",Jeremy said as he sat on the stool beside him,he already knew that this would happen but could dare to interfere.

Xander turned to his friend before shaking his head,"it is nothing just drink with me",he said in a hoarse voice which could tell that he wasn't his usual self.

Regardless of the situation,he joined him to enter a few bottles of wine listening to everything he said without interrupting,he found hiself giving advices.

Does their love still have a chance,of course everyone deserve a chance to enjoy what he/she has before it would be taken away,one must cherish it otherwise there wouldn't be a next time.

(Mitchell's house)

She looked at her aunt furiously after learning what she did,"aunt,why would do this to me",her teary eyes asked her with so much pain.

Has he already heard of the news,would he hate her forever for breaking him,there were different thoughts running through her mind that she didn't know which one to voice out first.

"I am doing everything for you,that boy is nothing and wouldn't get you anywhere if you stay with him besides that guy that i picked for you stays in France and would be coming back very soon",she heard her aunt say,there was no pity in her eyes and she hated the way she talked about Xander that she found herself screaming at her aunt.

"He said he is nothing,aunt don't judge a book by its cover without reading it....he has helped me a lot and i would always love him,i wouldn't marry anyone except him",she was silenced with a slap which made Micheal get up.

He wouldn't let her bully his sister even if she was the taking care of them,"aunt,what sister said is true as i am his friend and i know what he can do".

The air around them grew thicker as their aunty face was covered with frost,"i took care of you and this is the way you repay me,huh",she yelled making them fall on their knees.

Mitchell cleaned her tears helplessly,"i am sorry for yelling at you but i won't marry that guy",with that she stormed off to her room.

She didn't want to hear any more words from her as her whole mind was on him,she didn't want to think of the worst so she prayed before going to sleep.

The next morning

She looked for him in the class but she couldn't find him,she bit her lips before turning to leave when she saw him.

"Xander",she waved at him but he just walked passed her,she was dumbfounded for a while before she ran after him.

"I know that you are angry but don't misunderstand me....",her words were caught off by his cold reply,"i am sorry for misunderstanding and happy married life".

Her heart stopped beating when he turned around and walked away,she felt pain like a knife was stabbing her chest a hundred times that she just couldn't take it dropping to her knees.

From afar,he watched her cry her heart out,there was emotions flashing in those eyes of his before he went to help her.

"Get up or do you want your future husband to see you this way",she didn't need to know who owns the voice as she could tell the owner without opening her eyes.

She snuggled into his arm leaning on his broad chest,"don't leave me..",her words were shocked with tears.

He picked her up before walking to his suite,he didn't say anything since he came to help her and she couldn't help but feel uncomfortable.

Should she confess her feelings for him and explain everything to him but would he believe her anyway.

"Do you remember how we bake that cake",she said as she caressed his face,his brows were knitted in confusion.

He placed her on the couch and she could see the newspaper that wrote about her marriage,she could tell that he already knew everything.

"About the marriage,it was all planned by my aunty but i wouldn't do it",she stopped beating around the bush as she explained to him hoping he would believe her.

Gripping the cup in his hand,he dropped it before sitting opposite her,"i have work to do so help yourself out".

He started sorting the files on the table while writing on his notepad,his handsome features stood out when he looked serious while working.

"When would the ceremony be held",he asked before lifting his head to look at her.

There was determination in her eyes as she began explaining everything without a care if he would believe her or not,"why don't you want to go with a rich guy as your aunt has said".

Since she said so why not obey her aunt,he was confused why didn't she choose to be a princess living in a big mansion,"i love you and i can only picture myself with you not someone else".

Her sudden confession got him dumbfounded that he didn't know when she left,she loved him and she couldn't marry someone else other than him,the unexplainable joy growing in his heart made him snap out of his daze.

He looked around and found that she had left and he ran to the door but couldn't find her,he decided to send her a text
