His sharp gaze was directed at the exit but there was no one there. He then looked out of the window, yet Gu Qingqing's shadow was nowhere in sight.

Chen Wenjie was not happy that her prey had escaped from her. Leng Sicheng asked his secretary to drive slower because he did not want to miss Gu Qingqing. He had the window rolled down to check his surroundings. A lot of people were gathering at the exit because of the heavy rain.

Leng Sicheng used his finger to tap on the window and checked on every single person that his car passed by. Most of them were drivers of the guests of his event. The heavy downpour had made them decide that they would stay a little longer.

Secretary Chen then exited the hotel. There were other luxurious hotels nearby as well. Leng Sicheng could see that many people were standing under the roof, waiting for the rain to stop. Unfortunately, none of them was Gu Qingqing.

The car continued to move forward. Before they reached the traffic light, Leng Sicheng saw a woman inside a twenty-four-hour pharmacy. It was Gu Qingqing!

Why did she go to the pharmacy?

He then shouted at his secretary.

"Get lost now!"

Secretary Chen was so afraid that he got out of the car without hesitation.

Some time had passed and the car finally stopped moving. Gu Qingqing looked really pale.

"Send her back first!" said Leng Sicheng to his secretary that stood not too far away from the car.

"Yes sir!"

The car then drove past the traffic light. It was still raining. Leng Sicheng was standing under the rain and watched Gu Qingqing leave his sight. And his eyes became teary after that.
