31 Accident I

It was an opening ceremony for an upcoming movie, with many A-list celebrities attending the red carpet event. Amongst them was Leng Sicheng, the event's chief benefactor and Chen Wenjie, the female lead. Clicks and flashes incessantly bombarded the duo who had become the centerpiece on a pedestal.

During the interview session, a reporter approached them with a question directed at Chen Wenjie.

"Ms. Chen! You have two perfect men pursuing your character in the movie. I wonder which one you like more?"

"One is extremely handsome, and the other is dominant. Both of them are excellent choices, but I have someone else I like in my mind," she replied, before smiling and gazing at Leng Sicheng passionately.

Leng Sicheng, who was proudly standing beside her beamed with a wide smile. Gu Qingqing had never seen Leng Sicheng smiling at her in such a gentle manner. It became apparent that Leng Sicheng had left her in the early hours of the morning to be with Chen Wenjie.

After that, the news on the LED screen changed.

Unable to move, she stared at the floor with her lips quivering as she gripped her box of stuff ever tighter. All the patience and suffering she endured had failed to make Leng Sicheng fall in love with her. Leng Sicheng's conceited arrogance and unstable emotions had worn out whatever little perseverance she had left. It was time for her to make a decision.

Li Youyou hated anything remotely close to a mistress, thanks to her own similar experience. Li Youyou and Gu Qingqing were childhood friends, who since attended the same high school and university. Notably, their families were poor peasants and lived in squalid conditions.

At school, Xu Ziqin and her group of friends constantly bullied them. As Gu Qingqing entered her third year at the university, her family's land and house were repurchased by the government. Given no options, they were handed a million yuan as compensation. Unfortunately, the handsome amount of money brought them no happiness.
