In which Aoi Todo's slice of life bromance comedy fantasy induced by discovering Itadori Yuuji's taste in women is... In fact. Not a fantasy. But Reality. And so... Upon completing Middle School on a good note. By Winning the Middle School Baseball Nationals with Itadori. (Itadori does not deny this) They are excited at their admission to the best high school in Japan. Recognized across the world for its excellence. Providing a 100% entry rate into colleges as well as employment rate to those who graduate. The Tokyo Metropolitan Advanced Nurturing High School. They find themselves coincidentally both admitted to Class 1-D. And from there... Chaos ensues. (This is Purely Itadori And Todo in COTE. No Cursed Energy or other Crossover Characters. Just pure Besto Furendo Goodness) -------------------------------- I own nothing at all. Nada zilch nothing! I am also a slave to my impulses and decided to write this for the fun of it. Todo here is de-aged to be in Itadori's age group and class. Don't expect the both of them to jump someone on the daily. This is a highschool slice of life typa shit. There might be some jumping, but that'll be, you know, a dime a dozen depending on the situation. There you go! Enjoy, hopefully lol.

Tokyo Metropolitan Advanced Nurturing High School

-Story Start-

-Third Person POV-

It was as if the whole world suddenly froze for Kikyo.

The sudden, random, and very odd question presented to her by Aoi.

His very first acknowledgment of her existence...

Amounted to asking what is her type of woman/man.

Using her impressive social and observational skills, Kikyo quickly glanced at the lesser oddball of the duo.

Seeing Yuuji's tired, almost exasperated expression clued Kikyo at the fact that this seemed to be a regular occurrence.

Tilting her head, she replied with a cheery tone, "I don't mind, but can I ask why you're asking?"

Her first instinct was that this buff gorilla was hitting on her, but his completely serious expression threw that option out of the window.

Yuuji replied immediately with an apologetic smile, "Sorry, Kushida-san he does this all the time."

Aoi answered, the seriousness in his gaze never faltering, a thin line on his face "A man or woman's taste reflects their worth. A boring taste in women would equate to a boring man and vice versa. And I hate boring men and women. That is all!" He stated as a matter of fact.

The bus had stopped and people, especially students, began swarming out of it.

Nodding, Kikyo answered Aoi's question without trouble, "Hmm~ I guess someone who is kind, respectful, has a good sense of humor, and shares similar values and interests."

On that note, she exclaimed, "Oh we're here! I'll go on ahead! I hope to see you two soon!" She quickly ran off, hoping to dodge Aoi's reaction.

One would presume, those were good instincts.

They'd be right.

"How boring..." Aoi shook his head in disappointment.

Aoi lowered his head as he headed out of the bus in a casual stroll, Yuuji at his side.

A pat on Aoi's back prompted his gaze, meeting Yuuji's grin, "You've come a long way! Aoi! Usually, that ends up with someone getting beat up..."

Yuuji shivered as he recalled the memory of that time when he and Aoi joined the Middle School Baseball Team.

One could say... Some of them had poor taste in the fairer gender.

It was a steady and stubborn effort by Yuuji to curb the urge to beat up "Boring" people.

And after a lot of hard work and dedication.

Yuuji managed to improve Aoi's tolerance to...

Not beating up "Boring" Women.

Most of the time.

"Boring" Men though?

...Still a work in progress.

Aoi sighed, "The sacrifices I must make to not trouble you, my friend."

Yuuji rolled his eyes, "Yeah yeah. As if it's worth going to detention another dozen times."

Aoi answered immediately, "The trick is to not attend even the detention itself, brother. You are much too innocent."

As they talked, eventually they passed through the entrance gate.

Passing by a tardy duo of a poker-faced boy and an icy girl, finally entering the premises of their high school.

The sight made both Aoi and Yuuji to freeze.

"Woah... I've seen the pictures. But wow! This is actually a freaking city!" He exclaimed in excitement, a broad smile on his face.

The largest school complex one could ever lay eyes upon.

"A city, a mall, a park, and a whole dormitory skyscraper for crying loud! Is this even a school!?" Yuuji listed out what he spied with his little eye.

This school was the place they were going to live in for the next three years.

...But Aoi will cover the monologuing.

A thoughtful smile crossed Aoi.

He started, nodding in agreement with Yuuji's enthusiasm, "The Tokyo Metropolitan Advanced Nurturing High School."

"A school established by the government to nurture the country's future brightest. Boasting a 100% college acceptance rate with the most thorough, advanced, and state-of-the-art teaching methods, sparing no effort in pursuing Japan's future. It is a school worthy of brother and me." Aoi nodded, pleased.

"Yeah, me. Brightest. Those don't really go hand in hand bro." Yuuji deadpanned as Aoi monologued.

Aoi didn't seem to hear Yuuji's self-deprecation, because usually he would have put a stop to it immediately and exclaimed "Brother's" greatness.

Aoi continued the monologue, "Built on an artificial island beside Tokyo Bay. It is comparable to a city with a whopping 600,000 square meters for all its facilities."

He passionately gestured at the distant facilities, "And a city it is! Malls, parks, pools etc...! It is the ideal nurturing ground for future talent."

Then, his tone grew regretful, even a tad depressed, "However, a heavy toll is exacted on those who are accepted into this prestigious academic establishment..."

Tears.

Tears of pure sadness and regret.

Streamed down Aoi's eyes as his voice shook, "T-Three years. Without contact with the outside world."

The figure of Takada flashed in his mind.

He could even hear her voice now...

"Tantakata~n!"

He sniffed, whispering, "Wait for me... Takada-chan."

Note: The Tall Idol Takada is not aware of Aoi Todo's existence.

Extra Note: Aoi Todo denies this.

Then, he felt a disturbance in the air, he blinked gazing at his surroundings.

A pink-haired guy was amiss.

"WHERE DID YOU GO?! BROTHER?!" He yelled as he ran towards the school complex in front of him

-------------------------------

Entering through the main entrance door leading into the School Complex, students were greeted with a, simply put, enormous hallway.

A straight line from there, a board filled with class distributions for the new students to see.

With it, a large sign as well as what seems to be a representative of the Student Council exclaiming:

"All the 1st Years are to head to the Gymnasium for Orientation upon confirming which class you are in!"

Thus, our ragtag duo of Aoi and Yuuji found themselves in front of the board, surrounded by a large crowd of fellow 1st years.

Presented in front of them, the class listings of:

1-A.

1-B.

1-C.

1-D.

After careful scrutinization of the class listings, Aoi hummed pleased, "Fate has dealt us a favored hand, my friend." He extended a fist at Yuuji.

Yuuji reciprocated Aoi's pleased smile, clashing his fist with Aoi's as he chuckled, "You got that right. It's a relief we're in the same class, Aoi."

"Undoubtedly, brother." Aoi nodded in agreement.

Their eyes locked onto their names under the label of...

Class 1-D.

To Be Continued!

-Author Note Start-

As you may notice, the chapters for this are criminally short, especially in consideration of my standard length.

But this is what's comfortable for me in this Fic, for now, so it'll stay that way for now.

In turn, chapters should be easier to pump out lol.

Now, to answer a couple of reoccurring questions or expected questions so I don't repeatedly answer the same ones:

(1) Is Itadori Yuuji still with his superhuman/freak levels of strength?

Answer - Yes he is.

He is without Cursed Energy, but still a superhuman freak on par with Prime Peak Ayanokoji.

Ayanokoji is still very much more skilled than Yuuji though.

(2) Is there an actual background for Yuuji and Todo in this fic?

Answer - Yes there is.

As you may have noticed, there is a backstory and relationship build-up for them to be designated as "True, NOT DELUSIONAL AND ONE SIDED BESTO FURENDOS!"

It's slightly significant as well.

On that note... Cya next chapter!

Also, feedback on how I'm handling the two protagonist's characters (Basically how I'm writing Itadori and Todo) would be appreciated!

Any notes or constructive criticisms will only elevate this fic further!

(I am not a COTE professional, so call in the professors if I make mistakes and would appreciate help in fixing em when they do appear)
