Chapter 7

I stood in front of the mirror in my new floral print dress. Yes. My mom went shopping for a new outfit just for today. Yet for my graduation I had to suck it up and wear my sister's old dress which was twice my size. She gave me makeup, perfume and high heels. I feel like a doll about to be sold. Which is exactly what I am. A doll. A puppet. At least in my parents eyes I am. I swear I will never forgive them for this. There was a knock on my door

"Come in" my brother's walked inside

"Wow. You look beautiful Lili" said Marvin. I love that name. They've both called me that since they could talk.

"Where are you going so dolled up?" Asked Liam. I guess they didn't know about this arranged marriage nonsense

"I'm meeting someone" I replied

"Ooh is it a boy?" He asked. Liam is known for his curiosity

"Yes it is actually" there's no use in hiding it anyway

"Dad's not gonna be happy about this" Marvin said. Oh if they only knew. The reason they say is because my dad used to have a rule about boyfriend's and girlfriends before marriage. I used to wonder if that made any sense to him in his mind. Or maybe he's always wanted to choose our brides and grooms. It would make sense with the way he's acting

"I don't care" I said harshly. They both kept quiet.

"Shouldn't you two be busy with homework or something?" I asked in a calmer manner

"We wanted to ask for your help but you seem pretty busy" Marvin said with an attitude. I sighed

"Don't worry I'll help you two when I get back okay" if I ever come back that is, they both nodded and left the room. I didn't like being mean to them. But honestly it's just so frustrating. My life gets taken away and I have to be okay with it. I just wish I could die before I ever enter the restaurant
