Chapter 18:The shinning bracelet

Mrs Smith handed over the birthday present to Olivia, she got for her, it was a shinning silver bracelet

"Wow this is beautiful ma'am!" exclaimed Olivia eyes wide open

"You like it right?" asked Mrs Smith smiling face

"I love it! Thanks and God bless you ma'am!" said Olivia happily, she was pleased with the silver bracelet

"Amen! You're welcome dear!" said Mrs Smith cheerfully and she stood up to leave the dinning table.

"Good morning madam." entered grandma behind the dinning table

"Oh Mrs bill, how're you doing ma?" asked Mrs Smith politely

"I'm fine madam! Thanks for the gift and i also wanted you to know that, Fred gave Olivia a brand new phone for her birthday gift!" said grandma stuttering

"I know about that Mrs bill." said Mrs Smith smiling. She looked over to his son Fred and noticed his countenance changed. Mrs Smith was disturbed and thought to herself "What could be the cause of his emotion or did Olivia rejected his gift?" Mrs Smith looked at Fred again but he wasn't looking at her face at all. His eyes was cold and Mrs Smith was disturbed and she was caught off from her thought

"Really?" asked grandma mouth wide open. "And that's too much madam." added grandma gently

"It's not much Mrs bill, Olivia needs the phone now! Actually, Fred bought the phone with his money. He didn't tell me anything after all. I just found out myself recently." said Mrs Smith softly and she turned to Olivia "I know you're a smart girl Olivia and it's rare for my son to buy something expensive for someone else. It's only her mother he does that for, but now I think you're special too!" said Mrs Smith chuckled and Olivia smiled gently.

"Thank you ma." said Olivia happily, and Mrs Smith patted Olivia on her back gently

"You're welcome dear." Mrs Smith turned to her kids and said "I'm running late to work kids, see you later in the evening." said Mrs Smith, she touched Fred's hand softly before heading out from the house

Mrs Smith left for her office while the kids went to their various schools.

At Olivia's school, in the classroom, everyone was busy chitchatting. Olivia was in her classroom sitting down gently looking at the iphone on her hands delighted and Peter came up behind her unexpectedly

"Who owns that?" asked Peter suddenly

"Gosh you startled me!" screamed Olivia breathlessly

"Oh am sorry! So who owns the phone?" said Peter gently

"It's mine." replied Olivia graciously

"Really, where did you get that?" asked Peter astonished

"Someone gave it to me as my birthday present!" she said cheerfully

"Uhmn.Who's that?" he asked suspiciously

"Not someone you know though." she said indifferently

"Really?" he asked and was taken back

"Yes." she replied softly

"But that's an iphone, is it someone from the family that got you the phone?" he said curiously.

"No, not someone you know dear." she said again.

Anna came inside holding a coke in her hand, she sighted the phone on Olivia's hand

"That's a new iphone!" exclaimed Anna

"Yes Anna." said Olivia happily

"Is it for you Olivia?" asked Anna amazed

"Yes it's mine. My birthday present though." replied Olivia happily

"Wow! It's beautiful!" Anita was wondering who could got Olivia the iphone, she thought of Peter and she asked "Are you the one Peter?" asked Anna, she turned to Peter

"No, not me!" replied Peter gently

"Okay, so Olivia who got you the iphone?" asked Anna again and Peter was expecting Olivia to mention the individual

"Never mind Anna. It's not someone you know!" replied Olivia politely, and Anna shrugged it off her mind, since it was none of her business. Peter was disappointed and wanted to know who gave Olivia the phone

"Thanks Anna. I later saw your birthday wishes." said Olivia cheerfully

"You're welcome." said Annie

"Aren't you going for lunch?" asked Peter suddenly

"I will." replied Olivia absentmindedly

"So let's go now." said Peter hastily

"You guys want to leave me here alone right?" asked Anna  disappointed

"You've eaten Anna, haven't you?" said Peter pointedly and Anna nodded her head slightly

"Yes, I thought you guys were not coming for lunch." replied Annie dejectedly

"Why not, let's go Olivia." said Peter anxiously

"I will go with you guys." said Anna

"No!" shouted Peter suddenly

"What's wrong Peter?" asked Olivia surprised at Peter's reaction

"Nothing I just need to talk to you Olivia alone." he noticed his mood was obvious and quickly added

"She can come anyway if she wants to." he said firmly

"I'm not going again." said Anna felt badly

"Let's go Anna jor." said Olivia trying to make her change her mind

"It's alright Olivia. Jacob and I have rehearsal at the piano class, see you guys after break." said Anna hurriedly and went outside before them

At the school cafeteria, Olivia and Peter were seen eating their food, both were facing each other.

Peter couldn't wait to ask Olivia, the  question that was bothering him since, he had sighted the new phone with Olivia.

"Olivia am still curious," said Peter suddenly

"What's that Peter?" she asked

"I mean your new phone, who got you that?" he said pointed to her hands

Olivia knew keeping things from Peter wasn't her thing, she was surprised at herself from hiding the identity of the person that got her the present. And she felt guilty all of a sudden.

"It's Fred, he's my friend too and I think you saw him at the party." she said guilty

"Fred?" he exclaimed  wide open

"Yes!" she replied gently

"The same Fred?" he asked again

"Yes Peter." replied Olivia

"I see." he said bitterly

"What do you mean by that?" asked Olivia. She felt the pain in his voice

"Does he has a girlfriend?" asked Peter suddenly

"I don't know and why did you ask?" said Olivia astonished

"I just wanted to know." said Peter gently

"I don't know if he has girlfriend or not." said Olivia softly

"And you said he's your friend." said Peter suspiciously

"Yes he's my friend not my enemy duh." she chuckled and noticed Peter wasn't in the mood for jokes

"Really? What if he asked you to be his girlfriend?" he asked looking at Olivia in a focused manner

Olivia was shocked at the statement and the spoon she was holding fell from her hands slightly and before she could pick it up Peter already did. "Thanks." she mumbled to say

"You're welcome." said Peter and he continued with his food absentmindedly

Olivia kept silent and prayed in her mind inwardly "God please don't let him ask the question again!" said Olivia silently. She was happy Peter didn't say anything again afterwards

"Break is over Olly, let's go to class." said Peter briefly. They both got up from their seats and left the cafeteria.
