Chapter 37: Gloria's confession
"I am sorry Anita. I didn't mean to hide anything from you. I think I'll tell you truth now." replied Gloria sobbed "The woman I showed you wasn't my real mother Anita. She's my step mother." said Gloria quietly
"What?" asked Anita surprised
"I'm a mistress daughter. My mom is a poor single mother and I was raised by my step mother. Cecelia knew about my true identity all this while and I begged her not to disclose it to anyone. Ever since then Cecelia had been using me for her evil plot because she knew my true identity." said Gloria finally and she felt a load had been removed from her shoulder after saying the truth to everyone
"Oh really! Am sorry to hear that Gloria and you should have say the truth to me since." said Anita and she moved closer to Gloria and hugged her gently
"Am sorry Anita and I'm sorry Olivia, please forgive me!" said Gloria
"It's okay. I've forgiven you!" replied Olivia smiled gently
"Whoa!" said Henry surprised at the confession from Gloria and Cecelia bad attitude
"Cecelia, what can you say to this accusation made on you. You accused Olivia of being a thieve and betrayal while you're the real betrayal here." smacked at Cecilia contemptuously
Cecelia was quiet and couldn't say anything to Anita
"Cecelia answer, what they asked you!" said Fred
Everyone was looking at Cecilia, and she felt ashamed at herself and she replied finally
"Yes I did it and you don't have any right to accused me." replied Cecilia angrily at Fred
"Really I don't know you to be like this! You're cruel and have bad attitude." said Fred disappointedly
"Really, you'll regret this for choosing Olivia over me." said Cecelia and went outside angrily.
"Olivia am sorry for everything please forgive me for not trusting you enough. I'm so sorry Olivia." said Fred pleading
"It's alright since the truth had been revealed." replied Olivia
"Olivia am sorry for what Cecelia did to you." said Henry
"It's okay Henry." said Olivia cheerfully
Mrs Smith entered inside the room and was surprised with the joyful atmosphere
"What's going on kids?" asked Mrs Smith
"Mom we've a confession to make!" said Anita
"Okay I'm all ears!" replied Mrs Smith, she noticed Olivia had been avoiding her since the purse incident and Mrs Smith was surprised to see her with the other kids in the sitting room
"Mommy, Gloria finally told us the truth about your purse. Cecelia's was the one that set Olivia's up not Olivia!" said Anita and Gloria shook her head slightly
"Oh my goodness! But why!" asked Mrs Smith bewildered
"She's jealous of Olivia's relationship with Fred." replied Anita
"Relationship? What relationship?" asked Mrs Smith stunned
"Fred and Olivia are da..." Anita couldn't complete her statement and remembered immediately that her mother wasn't being informed yet
"You mean dating?" asked Mrs Smith eyebrows
"Em em Mom. Yes we're dating!" stammering Fred. He wasn't prepared to tell her mother now, he was waiting for the end of the year party
"Whoa! Really," Mrs Smith turned to Olivia. Olivia nodded her head shyly
"I see, how long has it been going on?" asked Mrs Smith
"Mom!" shouted Fred and he dragged his friend outside gently
"Uhmn! I thought Fred and Cece like each other!" said Mrs Smith surprised
"They're just friends mom, Fred and Olivia really like each other. They've been waiting for the right time to tell you mom!" replied Anita
"Okay, I need to shower now!" said Mrs Smith nonchalantly, she walked inside the room
"Olivia, I'm happy my mom is aware now!" said Anita cheerfully.
"I'm also happy, senior Fred choose Olivia." said Gloria happily
"Thanks guys. I hope your mother would accept me like you guys are doing now." replied Olivia gently
"She will definitely. Anything that makes Fred happy, Mom always back him up. She wants his Joy remember you're the one that changed my brother to be more human and joyfully." said Anita tenderly
"Thank God for using me to change him. You know am just doing my things." replied Olivia softly
"Aww I'm glad to hear that. Olivia you're my role model now!" declared Gloria cheerfully
"Really, I'm happy to tutor you!" chuckled Olivia
"I'm jealous oo," said Anita smiling face
"Okay guys, I need to show you guys something." said Olivia huge smile across face
"Really?" They all shouted excitedly and followed Olivia inside the house.
Fred later asked Olivia about Mr Charles and how Olivia got to know him
"So Olivia can you please tell me, about Mr Charles." asked Fred gently
"Mr Charles is my late father's friend. I was just informed recently by grandma. He's a good man." said Olivia softly "He's a widower, lost his wife some years back!" said Olivia emotionally
"Uhmn!" replied Fred gently
"I think he'd make a good responsible man to any woman he marry again." said Olivia softened
"Okay.," replied Fred
"Mr Charles is a good gentleman trust me Fred. Remember he's my late father's friend." added Olivia again
"Really? He mentioned something like that to my mom." asked Fred suddenly
"Yes!" replied Olivia
"I need to show you something Olly!" said Fred suddenly
He took her to his room and started searching for his Dad's photo.
"What're you looking for Fred?" asked Olivia, she was surprised to be in his room "This is my first time, to be in Fred's room. What a lovely room." said Olivia inwardly to herself
"Here's it. I finally found what am looking for Olivia." said Fred smiled and showed Olivia the picture, he was looking for
Olivia checked the picture and, Fred's dad was standing in the middle while Mr Charles was at his left hand side and Olivia's dad was at the right side
"This my dad here!" screamed Olivia suddenly.
"Really let me see!" said Fred stunned. He saw the picture and was surprised to see Olivia's dad in the picture
"My dad used to mention about one of his friend that died in a plane crash. I never knew it was your dad Olivia." said Fred emotionally
"I missed him so much!" said Olivia sobbed, she was surprised to see his dad's picture outside their home
"I am sorry too Olivia." replied Fred gently and patted Olivia at the back softly
Mrs Smith entered the room unannounced and caught Fred and Olivia in a cosy manner
"What's happening here!" asked Mrs Smith stunned at the two kids
"Mom!" said Fred gently
