Chapter 2

The only reason for this is we have a spy inside the system. But that was impossible! Who would side to those freaks when the continuation of humanity is on the line.

I shook my head trying to pull myself because I was too distract on thinking what was just happened leaving my cruiser floated aimlessly and become an easy target.

The most important thing for now is to make this thing on my back into safety.

I flown towards to the back of the base. Hiding is the best choice for now.  I don't want to die without even doing my job.

The enemy fired the second round of energy blast. And the base without the shield to protect nor the Guardian was left open as target practice.

All the cruisers entered into battle mode. They lined one line facing the entire Armada while the Andromeda is on the center.

We will never gonna win. A thought entered my head.

When the attack hit our base, there was no sound. The explosion that is supposedly earth shattering didn't exist. The only thing I saw was wave after wave of energy blast released from the attack. Ships that are closed enough to the base was destroyed instantly.

The weapon used by Azrock was so powerful. It manage to pushed the huge base backward despite the fact that the whole thing was colossal.

Using the power of the twin drive system, I manage to escape from the incoming base. I made my way to the front and I was shock! The heavily fortified base was destroyed. Sliced into two half.

Using the sensors, I zoomed in. Seeing the scene before me, I felt my heart stop beating and all my strength was suck out from my body.

Dead bodies, thousands of them are floating everywhere.

I looked down, my mind turned blank. How could this be happening. A second ago, they were just conversing and now? Just like that they were dead.

I don't want war. War only bring sadness and I hated to feel it. It makes me weak and I don't want to feel it.

I gripped the control of my cruises as strong as I can exert. Rage burned in my chest. I want them to pay for this. I raised my head towards to armada. The battle is already just begun. Thousands of torpedo missile were launched from both sides resulting to waves of explosion.

Maneuvering my cruiser, I made my way towards to the battle.
