Prologue

I sat against a tree waiting for death. The time had finally come. I recounted the events that had happened up until this point. The day it happened. That damned day.

???: Well Jake, looks like I finally get to kill you.

The man laughs a deep maniacal laugh.

???: I'll make sure you suffer for what you did.

The man proceeds to beat me, breaking two of my ribs.

He stops, and looks at me.

???: Man looks like I really did a number on you. You've had enough, son.

He pulls out a gun and cocks it back as I slowly close my eyes. A bang is heard through the quiet night.
