Fighting for Remi

Remi woke up looking startled, her face and hair were soaked with sweat, her breathing was rapid as her heartbeat.

'what was that!' she raised her hand only to realise that it was shaking.

I finally remembered the dream?

In the dream, she was pleading to a man in a white coat to let her go, but her step mother was holding her down and she couldn't fight back at all. The man in the white coat was holding a huge niddle, the moment it pierced her abdomen, she felt like her insides were burning and filled with magma.

She subconsciously held her stomach, she could still feel a different kind of pain. She removed the covers and blushed, she didn't recall taking care of her previous situation. Remembering that she had left with Jason, her face couldn't help but heat up, he even changed her clothes!

She immediately got up with her sour mood but when she spotted the food on her bedside, she sat down to eat first. She needed the energy if she was going to confront him after all.

When she was full and satisfied, she headed outside, she was wearing what seemed like Jason's shirt which was too big for her and his shorts. When she went out, she realised that Jason had bought her to his condo even though it was mostly empty and Jason was nowhere to be seen.

However when she reached parking lot, she could vaguely hear the sound of two men fighting. When she got closer she could hardly believe what she could see and hear.

Rowan's neat white shirt was rolled up and a thick vein could be seen protruding on his temple, his hair was messy and a bit of blood was leaking from his mouth.

Opposite him stood Jason, he was still wearing his jogging outfit and it looked ruffled up but he barely looked hurt, but just like Rowan he seemed pretty pissed.

"You don't know who you are messing with!" Rowan threatened in a low voice.

"Tsk, atleast am not using my status to threaten anyone. I will use my fists to back up my words unlike you who only know how to beat up women and cower when you are facing a real man" Jason spat in disgust.

Rowan was embarrassed and angered, he knew he was wrong to have beaten up Remi but at the time he wasn't in control. He really felt like he was up against Orion with the way she was behaving, however facing Jason's criticism, he didn't back down.

"Since you are such a man then why are you still keeping her in your condo when it's so late? Give her to me, she needs to go home!"

"So that you can go ahead and beat her up again? I don't think so!"

Remi was stunned, these too men were fighting for her? But why? It couldn't be that Rowan was in love with her right?

Remi shook her head 'no way, he's probably here since he knows am Orion now'

Now that he was a girl, in future, did she have to marry a..a man? And give birth? Unacceptable! As a man, he couldn't end up with a fellow man no matter what! Once she was done with her main mission, she would think of a solution. For now...she looked at Jason again and her face darkened.

"Will you two stop fighting? People are looking!"

Upon seeing what Remi was wearing, Rowan was displeased!

"Did he touch you?" He glarred at Jason with malice.

"Unlike you, I'm thoughtful, l asked the housekeeper to help me clean her. I just didn't expect to hear that she was heavily beaten even though it was her time of the month. How brutal!" Jason glared back at Rowan.

Remi felt relieved upon hearing that "but why didn't you wake me up?"

"I couldn't bear to, you looked so tired. And I wanted to get you back to your home but I don't know where you live"

Remi nodded, she felt that it was plausible.

"Get in the car, I will drop you off" Rowan regained his composure.

Thinking that today was the day that woman gets released on bail, she shook her head "my stepmother ought to be home now, I don't feel so fine, it's better to stay away from her if l want peace. Besides its so late, the gates won't be open"

"Then stay here" Jason offered hurriedly.

Remi nodded making Rowan feel flastered, so he quickly offered "I can go book a five star hotel for you, it's not convenient for a girl go sleep in a strange man's home"

"Is it convenient for her to stay in a hotel with you?" Jason mocked.

"Enough, let's go Jason"

"You can call me Jay" He said smugly making Rowan's face turns ugly as he watched them walk away.

'what so good about him?' Rowan couldn't understand why Remi would pick Jason over him, all his life, girls always made him their number one choice. He was the one who rejected girls, not the other way around, he had always been confident about his looks because of this. But today for the first time in his life, he doubted his looks and felt that they weren't enough.

He got back into his car and drove off looking like he wanted to kill someone.

Meanwhile, in the Wellington's mansion, Drew was sitting at the edge of his head with his phone cracked on the bedroom floor. His expression wasn't the original innocent looking, instead there was anger.

'how dare you Rowan!'

He had been suspicious about why everytime Rowan disappears to go help Remi, she never comes to see him. He secretly sent one of his uncle's guards when Rowan made up an excuse to go meet Remi, what he didn't expect was....to see a picture of him carrying Remi to his car!

To make things worse, both of them weren't answering their phones and it had been many hours since his guard lost sight of them, so why hadn't Rowan returned.

Inorder to understand Remi better, he had asked someone to do a background check on her. What he found out wasn't pretty, for now he didn't have the power, but once he was successful, he vowed to eradicate the family that made her suffer.

Since she never had a friend just like him, having him should have made her cherish him but Rowan was intervening making things hard for him.

He knelt down and took his cracked phone "I...I won't lose you Remi. No matter what!"
