Xavier watched the two embracing each other.
"I thought there was no more chance for me, to enter into her life," he muttered, holding his aching chest.
He turned and saw the almost recovered Seraphytes, then glanced at Cassius, who continued to hold Eleanor.
He grabbed Cassius's shoulder.
Cassius looked at him coldly and said, "Run while you still can. If not, you'll die here with us."
"I have no intention of running, and I don't want to die foolishly with you."
Cassius ignored his words and looked back at the woman he was hugging.
"Sigh... her vital signs are still there, albeit weak. She's still alive."
"Yes. But not for long." Cassius tightened his embrace around his wife's limp body.
It was impossible for someone to survive Seraphytes' poison, especially in this quantity and near the heart.
They wouldn't die immediately, but gradually, they would die if they weren't given an antidote.
