When the Lights are Gone
When the lights are gone…
Paranoia hunts me.
When the lights are gone…
Fear engulfs me.
When the lights are gone…
Uneasiness irritates me.
When the lights are gone…
My emotions overwhelm me.
When the lights are gone…
Hope leaves me.
But deep down I know that when the lights are gone…
God is there to save me.
We did this during spoken poetry session and this was my entry. We were all tasked to do repetitive style with the statement "when the lights are gone". ^^
