The Rustbucket is a diner
"Hey, how was school Ben?" Max, an old fat man wearing a Hawaiian shirt asked Ben as he drives his RV named rust bucket.
"It was not bad," Ben replied as he plays a handheld game.
[To be fair I don't even know what they teach. I only go there so that my mom and dad won't nag me.] Ben thought in his mind. But he was not going to tell it to Max.
"He is always sleeping during lectures. And now even the teachers have given up on him." Gwen said to Max to inform him about Ben's misdeed during school.
[What the f is her deal?] Ben thought as he looked at Gwen who was staring right back at him.
Her facial expressions suggest that she was having some kind of competition with him and got out on top.
Ben knew that although he and Gwen are close like families they didn't like each other very much. Ben normally doesn't mind her presence as he hardly paid attention to her unless he has to but she seems to have some kind of rivalry with him.
He didn't remember doing anything to her. And he was right he didn't do anything to her. He doesn't even argue back or harm her physically whenever she tried to provoke him.
She just tried to pick fights with him just because she doesn't like the fact that they share the same birthday.
It was a pity reason but she was still a ten-year-old child.
[Oh boy. This is going to be a long summer.] Ben thought in his mind as the rustbucket slowly moves towards the location of the campsite.

After driving for a few hours the Rustbucket arrived at the campsite.
The three got out of the RV so that they could have a meal.
Ben and Gwen sat at the table and the chair was laid down for the campers.
"Here eat up," Max said as he put a bow of what appeared to be filled with grey earth and living worms in front of Ben.
"What is this?" Ben asked.
"Merainated mealworms. Hard to find them fresh in the state. You know they are considered delicacies in some countries." Max proudly told Ben.
"And gross in others," Gwen said as she saw a worm crawl out of the bowl and tried to escape from its fate.
"If these don't sound good I got some sheep tongue in the fridge," Max said to the two.
"How about we order a pizza or something like that?" Ben said.
"Nonsense. This journey is going to be an adventure for your taste buds. Wait for a while, I am going to go and grab the tongue." Max said as he stepped into the RV.
"This is going to be a long summer," Ben said as he grabbed one of the worms to taste the strange meal.
The worm that Ben was holding started to wiggle causing him to be disgusted.
"Are you seriously going to eat that?" Gwen said.
"I didn't bring any snacks. What are you seriously going to suggest that you are going to share your food with me?" Ben asked.
"If you want I have some rice crackers and candy. I don't like you but I think even you don't deserve to eat that thing." Gwen said to Ben.
[Well even she still has some good redeeming qualities.] Ben thought in his mind.
"Nah. I am sure I will be fine. Somehow." Ben said as he put the worm in his mouth and started to eat.
"Uhhhhh." Ben was disgusted as he didn't find the taste appealing and he still remembers that they are worms. It was so disgusting that even a few drops of tears started to come out of his eyes.
He tries to forget the feeling of wanting to throw up and tries to eat his meal.

He knew Gwen's grandma in his old days and when she went missing and Gwen's Grandfather died he took responsibility and started to look after Gwen as his Granddaughter along with Ben. Even though he was a good replacement grandfather to Gwen he was not able to make an impact on Ken's life who was the one that gifted him the red Hawaiian shirt. (Ken is Gwen's older brother).
