"Aaaghhh," Superman yelled through clenched teeth as Darkseid's omega beams borrowed into his eyes as he was being held by the throat.
The Flash zoomed under the giant's legs and kicked him hundreds of times in the crotch, causing Darkseid to use the kryptonian in his hand as a bat to hit the speedster. Flash slammed through the windows of a nearby storefront.
Darkseid threw Superman into the ground, creating a large crater.
Wonder Woman wrapped her lasso around the new god's neck and only managed to pull him a few feet backwards before he grabbed it and swung her like a flail. The giant laughed as he used her as a wrecking ball, causing considerable damage to buildings. He then used the momentum to smash her into the same crater as Superman.
"Puny insects dare challenge me?" Darkseid roared with laughter.
"I'll burn this world to as-," He was interrupted by a powerful blast of magic to the back of his head, making him stumble a bit.
He turned to see a raven-haired woman in a skimpy looking magician's outfit floating high in the air.
"Not if we burn you first," Zatanna said as fire engulfed her hands.
"And who is this we?" Darkseid asked, not looking impressed.
A burst of fiery energy hit him in the back, and he turned to the sight of a golden skinned woman with bright, red hair flying around, leaving an energy trail.
"Thanks Star," The magician said as the Tamaranean flew next to her.
"No problem, friend," Starfire smiled before flying above Darkseid and shooting energy at him.
With a bemused grunt, red beams appeared from the giant's eyes and followed Starfire's movements and almost got her before a large, green wall interrupted them.
Green Lantern put a box around Darkseid's head and quickly approached Zatanna, who was firing fire and lightning at Darkseid.
"Get Omni here!" He said right as the new god broke through the construct and fired his beams towards them.
*Ben!* Zatanna called out to her lover in a panicked tone, *Get here now and prepare for a tough fight!*

[Tamaran – Blackfire's Palace]
Ben and Blackfire just finished their third or fourth round when Ben got Zatanna's hurried message.
Stopping time briefly, he kissed Blackfire goodbye and promised to return soon.
He then teleported as he put his battle suit on and appeared in front of Zatanna, facing her and returning time as he did so.
He felt a powerful force make its way towards his back and prepared himself by turning kryptonian for the first time. Because of his suit, there were no big, noticeable changes. The force hit him hard, causing him to stumble into Zatanna's arms.
"Are you okay?" She asked with a worried tone.
"I'm fine," Ben said, even though he could feel that a massive bruise would form on his back.
"Hm?" Darkseid mused, "A new arrival? A strong one at that," He muttered, feeling the aura coming from Ben.
Turning to the noise, Ben saw the giant for the first time and couldn't help whistle.
"Damn, that's one ugly god," He said.
Darkseid's face scrunched at the remark and he suddenly appeared in front of Ben, his fist plummeting down.
Ben sidestepped and threw a right hook into the 'gods' face, causing little to no reaction.
*Looks like being kryptonian won't do,* Ben thought as he quickly dodged Darkseid's attacks.
*Well, if you can't beat them, be them,* He had Trix scan the giant when using an arm to deflect a punch.

*New Gods?* Ben chuckled, still dodging and throwing a few distracting punches as leaguers fired what they had at Darkseid, still to no major effect, *What a moniker.*
Ben activated the transformation and green light briefly shone, blinding nearly everyone in the vicinity for a second.
What took his place made everyone quiver in fear. Even Darkseid was surprised and a bit wary.
Ben was now nearly four meters tall, almost double Darkseid's height. His skin was black like obsidian and his hair and beard were red and styled like a viking. Black and white energy streamed from his eyes as he looked down on Darkseid.
"Let's see what this one can do," Ben's voice was deep and made the surrounding area tremble.
